pinions
#1
I just picked up a Mass Termination for my mini t and a set of alloy pinions. I tighten the pinion with the allen wrench that it comes with but after running the car around the track for awhile the pinion gets loose from the motor. Is that something common?, the pinion screw getting loose and the pinion not working with the spur gear until you tighten the pinion screw back to the can or am i installing it the wrong way. Any ansewers?Sad

Thread lock on the setscrew (blue threadlock)

or make sure it's on the flat spot on the shaft. If there isn't a flat spot, dremel a small flat spot.

I tightened the setscrew on the flat part of the shaft and it got loose, i tried on the treaded part of the shaft and it lasted as long as my batteries life. When i changed the battery to run again the pinion became loose. Is blue threadlock a glue for this problem?

Don't use a lot as you might strip out the set screw when you try to loosen it, but it will keep it from coming loose if you let it dry.
