Yeah it's a good basher. Its more of a race truck then it is a capable crawler. As long as you keep in mind that the rig is a race designed platform and not a crawler designed platform you'll love it....

I've molded some things from lexan with my shopvac and a heat gun. Mostly just headlight buckets and lenses though, nothing fantastic. Looks like a cool product though, sort of like wax.

There is new rules for supers in the works. 12.5 wide 14" wheelbase or longer. As long as you stay within those dimentions I don't see any real issues. I will say that maxx crawlers are really a joke....
