Touring Car Chassis Set Up - BJoe - 04-05-2010

Anybody have a good base suspension setting for an older belt drive touring car? I've just gotten my all graphite 4-Tec set back up for bashing with a VXL system and Nitro diffs in it. It runs good bit seemed ot turn better left than right but the camber was a little off. Right now toe is set right around zero both front and rear while I reset camber to 2* front and 1* rear. It had been different on all four prior to me reseting thingsRolleyes I do need to go over the shocks again too.

Any suggestions?

Well Start With Shocks, same Fluid, Equal Compression Or None, Balance Left To Right, Ride Height, Droop, Toe In/ Out Front Rear. Test Drive Check For Under/over Steer, Sliding And Where, In/out Of Corrners, On /off Power. Good Luck.
If The Batterys Are Of Diffrent Weight The Results May Change Every Time.

I went back and completely redid the entire front end alignment as well as the rear camber at work today, and then added a few spring clips to give the car a little more ride height up front. Unfortunetly The battery went dead before I had a chance to fully test drive it though. I do need to clean and re-oil the shocks though. I really should get an alignment board though, this job would be a whole lot easier!

Forgot To Sat That The Battery Must Be In The Car During Setup. Ooppss

I made sure to do that, had a 7 cell shoehorned into it at the time, but I'm looking at one of the Thunder Power 45/90C 3s packs for it since I'm not really happy with how that 7 cell is working.

That Sounds Good. When You Get The New Battery Just Have To Re Balance. Have Not Tried This But If You Get Two Scales And Two Rulers. You Place A Ruler On Each Scale Set Car On For Side To Side, and The Front/back. This Might Help Speed Up The Balance Act. Good Luck
