hey havent been on the forum in a while but i was thinking of getting back into it on road. I've been looking at some and was just wondering what would be good for the track, maybe race later on, and if there was anything (specific cars) to stay away from for on road. i dont know alot about it. I used to drive rc and have some expierence so not looking for a completely beginner car.
i appriciate any suggestions

1/8th rally game. Smile You can get into LHR's on-road spec class.

My feelings also--the spec class at LeisureHoursRaceway. Great way to get back into On-Road with a solid car.
The new Inferno GT2 will be coming out very soon. $50 more than the original GT, but what I've read it is worth it. Plus the new bodies are Awesome!
Talk or PM Bernie (Bubbacola) at LeisureHoursRaceway. The class is going thru the usual growing pains and will probably be tweaked for next year to better help with the class. The racing is for fun and should stay that way. Just wish my wife would let me have a little more time for racing on Sundays.
Sad

should i go with a rtr or pro kit for a 1/8 car?

i saw ofna was coming out with a 1/8 DM 1, how would that match up with the Inferno GT 2?

A DM-1 Pro is a very nice car, but you can't run it in the spec series. If they offered an Open rally game class it would fit right in, but LHR doesn't.

i read somewhere that you couldnt run the 1/7 dm 1 and thats y theyre making a 1/8

You still can't run the DM-1S (short chassis) in a class anywhere.

The 1/7th scale chassis offers more realism, its the exact same reason that Kyosho has extended the chassis for the IGT 2. The extended chassis matches the proportions of a real car better.

Its not as long as a DM-1, only about 30mm longer wheelbase than the old car. Instead of 330mm, its ~360mm, the DM1 is ~390mm long.

"the track", means only Leisure Hours outdoor on-road track?
