Does anyone here have any special things they do to their bodies or somethin to keep the bodies on. With my maxx, even with 4 body clips in, the smallest jumps throw off the body, usually losing some body clips too. In the last 2 weeks I lost 20 body clips, and having the body constantly come off is kind of annoying.

You can get locking body clips, they help a lot. Also, to keep the body from ripping through the clips, they have body washers. If you can't find the body washers, you can always make a few from the extra lexan when you paint a new body.

Sounds like the body clips you are using are too small and are loose when attached. Won't take much for them to fall out. Get some thicker body clips (or the locking kind) for a more secure fit and it will cure your problems.

i use a small zip tie. drill a small hole in the body put the clip thue the eye of one tie, then put the othe end of the tie thru the hole in the body and use another zip on the other side and trim them bolth.

paper clips all the way!

you just need quality clips or quit crashing Smile

I like the "Serpent 1/8 scale body clips" ,They are the strongest clip and don't fall out easy at all, yet they are easy to pull out. The locking clips aren't the easiest to put in/take out.

if ur dont need to take ur body off to start i or anythign while ur running it take a small ziptie and fasten it around the open ends of the body clip after u put it on. It will pinch it tighter and will prevent it from backing out

ive seen people running velcro on maxx trucks along with the body clips dont kno if it works all that well cuz i dont own a maxx.

I used to use some steel rod and redrilled the holes in the body posts.. here is a pic of what I'm talking about on my old JT Supermaxx Hybrid I used to have...

Also if the long one still came off or I wanted to be sure the body stayed on I'd put a linkage collar on the end.

If I didn't do the long single body clip I use extra large 1/8 scale body clips.

I gave up on mine. People want to see big jumps so I know stuff is going to break. I have lost countless body clips and ripped the body off with body washers... I just need duct tape I guess...

Maybe velcro, body clips, body washers, and support lexan will keep it on.

keeping bodies on? - Tex - 12-03-2005

a wing and driving more carefull will make the body last all winter Smile

keeping bodies on? - UE-Maxx - 12-03-2005

Me and Rob got the wing covered already. Except I won't be driving this winter at all.

keeping bodies on? - Mr. Tune - 12-03-2005

Ever since I put the wing on my revo, I haven't lost a single body clip, and I'm still on my first crowd pleaser body.

For the first time ever I'll be getting a new body not because it broke, but because I got tired paint job :joy:

The 20 bucks I spent on the setup saved me at least 80 worth of body and paint...

keeping bodies on? - RobH - 12-03-2005

I havn't lost a clip since I got the wing either.
