You guys have prolly seen this but if you havent,

[LOSA0801] Team Losi 8ight 1/8 4WD Competition Buggy Race Roller

I dont know when its supposed to come out yet but i dont see why you would want that anyways when you could just buy the kit. I understand about the truggy cause theres no kit version at all, but whay have two versions of the same thing? It even costs more than the kit.

it really isnt worth it. they did a few basic up grades to the battery tray top, new paint scheme, and tire tread.

^^ wow...i wonder what exactly warrants the price difference then?!

8ight-B race roller - blktransam - 08-26-2007

having some sweatshop full of 10 yr old building them is the price increase Smile

LMAO ^^

It kinda takes the fun out of building a kit.

exactly. And you prolly gonna have to tear it down somewhat anyways to change your diff oils, shock oils, and your whole setup, so you may as well just build it from the ground up.

that ran out of parts for there t's . no diffs = no race

8ight-B race roller - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 08-27-2007

exactly, cant get parts for them, I heard plenty of horror stories from WI this weekend about guys that couldnt get rear diff bearings and a bunch of the other junk parts that wear out in a gallon

8ight-B race roller - blktransam - 08-27-2007

hmmm....I have 10 gallons or more on my 8ight and only items I have ever broken are maybe a dozon tie rod ends...I buy my bearings from avid they have everyone I have ever wanted I did strip out a rear pinion gear but that was because I had the spacer in backwards (my fault)...also had 3 servos go out 2 for throttle and 1 for steering...but they were replaced via warranty Smile

wow...im really amazed by this. the only parts that werent readily available for me were the stupid lil plastic covers that capture the hinge pins. that was before i converted it into a pro kit. oh and maybe the upgraded o-ring kit for the shocks.

but other than that, ive never had a problem just walkin into the shop and grabbin what i needed.

8ight-B race roller - Tex - 08-27-2007

I got 2 gallons on my 8ight and haven't replaced anything but the plastic servo horn....

front center driveshaft is decently worn but all my bearings look good.

8ight-B race roller - victor v - 10-02-2007

I agree i dont know what you guys are talking about. I have about 2.5 gallons and only had to change servo horn insert and shock o-rings.
