The Official Mugen Thread - allan42r - 10-08-2007 the new car is due out next summer with big bore shocks. dont know if they will have the shocks early to throw on the 5's. lots of brake disks to choose from mike, i like using the disk guides,no glue on pads, and those ttr ones look very thick. i want to slow the car down not do nose wheelies.lol The Official Mugen Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-08-2007 the disk guides just create drag imo; if u dont wanna do endo's set them up right The Official Mugen Thread - allan42r - 10-08-2007 they dont seem to drag too much when i pass you. and that was a jab at the fact that the disks are so thick. im pretty happy with my brakes even on the truggy. avid disks= $13.00 not running ttr junk = priceless .lol The Official Mugen Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-08-2007 that must be why scott hughes runs them... The Official Mugen Thread - allan42r - 10-08-2007 saw he was running them, thought they would be good enough for me. The Official Mugen Thread - hansarvin - 10-08-2007 I use TTR brakes on my Mugen and they stop it on a dime but I had to dial a lot of it out I don't need to go to a complete stop every time I touch the brakes. Plus they don't work if you spill fuel on them. I'd run Avid's if I had the money. The Official Mugen Thread - blktransam - 10-08-2007 okay u can afford a nice vehicle but cant spend 15.00 on nice brakes..... The Official Mugen Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-08-2007 dialing brake out is a good thing, less stress on ur servos for one thing. No brakes will work when you soak them with fuel, but ive never noticed them fade or go away after a pit, neither has chad The Official Mugen Thread - hansarvin - 10-08-2007 Well I see no immediate need to replace them right now and I like to slide a little around corners not hitting my brakes and coming to a complete stop. I just spent my money on a new charger and a new rear bulk, plus I just spent $125 replacing the entire center and most of my front diff. And maybe it's just me but I've got an issue with overfilling a little when pitting because I'm trying to get them out there as fast as possible. Also I never knew all brakes didn't work when you get fuel on them. I guess I should have assumed but I always heard the big argument against TTR brakes being they won't work with fuel on them. And your right they last forever and I've never noticed fade as mentioned. I'd notice it too because my brakes are so dialed out right now if they faded any I'd have problems(should probably work on thatmash The Official Mugen Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-08-2007 dial out front brake, i put those discs in there they are brand new, id never run any other brake disc The Official Mugen Thread - hansarvin - 10-08-2007 Thanks Mike I'll give it a try this weekend The Official Mugen Thread - rocco79 - 10-08-2007 i want to try kyosho brake pads on my mugen with the stock steel rotors The Official Mugen Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-08-2007 i dont think they will fit, i ran johnny's sp2 when he had them on and for 60$ they arent worth it imo The Official Mugen Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-08-2007 but u have to have them and they are the best becuase porsche or some other company uses that material lmao The Official Mugen Thread - rocco79 - 10-08-2007 lol The Official Mugen Thread - chickenfarmer3 - 10-08-2007 i love the ttr pads, even if you get fuel on them they are still good. Too mych front brake is bad. The Official Mugen Thread - ttm - 10-09-2007 just a fyi scott hughes does not run avid brakes anymore he has not use them for a while..... The Official Mugen Thread - ttm - 10-09-2007 w The Official Mugen Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-09-2007 he runs TTR brakes The Official Mugen Thread - ttm - 10-09-2007 no craduckc (spelling is wrong) the anti lock ones The Official Mugen Thread - pwnzor - 10-09-2007 craddock^^ The Official Mugen Thread - allan42r - 10-09-2007 your right ken, at the time he was thats why i tried them.the ones you had looked pretty cool but i didnt know who had them. i tried the avids with 8mm of fuel tubing and im very happy with the progressive feel im getting on the car and truggy. i havent noticed any loss of brakes due to heat,or fuel. joe s. has pitted for me the last couple of pro series races and i dont think anyone is faster or goes thru more fuel.lol i looked at my car after st. louis and noticed fuel drops on the back of the rear diff case and toe block. during the main some of the pit stops were being timed so the pit men had their own race going on. joe was the fastest, by himself, and using a MUGEN fuel bottle. so anyway im pretty sure fuel found its way to my brakes and they worked just as well at the end as they did at the begining. The Official Mugen Thread - motoxer4life - 10-09-2007 im defiitely thinking about the ttr brakes because mine started to slow a little at that bernies bash. So the ttr are the good ones right or are the advantage better? The Official Mugen Thread - allan42r - 10-09-2007 i havent tried the ttr brake disks but chad was running them on his mugen and he satd he liked them. dont know how much they are but lh did have them in stock. i run the avid's and i use their bearings for the clutch. very happy The Official Mugen Thread - allan42r - 10-09-2007 heads up mike should come running waving that ttr flagalute: |
