Best Motor, ESC, servo for on-road? - mikeh - 06-15-2007

I need some help fellas.
I have a really good Losi XXX-S from Matt and I need some electronics recomendations. Best bang for the buck on a steering servo and ESC and motor. Anybody have any favorites or knows which to avoid?
Thanks!

Yeah I like my rooster reversible (not super rooster) I think they're discontinued though.

I just picked up this motor

and some spare brushes from tower. Threw it in my pede, and HOLY SH!T it has power up the butt..I haven't got to road test it but just ballooning the tires is crazy.

You do realize that the Old rooster had a 15 turn motor limit it was the super rooster that had the 0 turn limit

You could always look into going brushless, a little more expensive in the get go but look at what hassle and money you would be saving with maint and brushes and stuff like that. Me personally if I was to get back in to electric that is the only way I would go, and with all the different motors that you can get now and since mod and 19t seem to be like the big classes you could just about get a motor anywhere.

The manual said modified motors ( I was ticked off....it didn't give me an exact number)....So I dropped this in there. I DEFINATELY have to gear down, it melted the motor wires.
