Thinking of getting a boat - satoch - 07-06-2005

I live 3 blocks from the lake @ Diversey. There's a very cool spot where the rowing guys practice that would be perfect for RC boat racing. It's always smooth as glass and noise is not an issue. I run my Revo nearby all the time without issue, after all, it's a park. "Come out and play" they say.

Anyhow, I'm hoping that maybe we can get a group of people together to decide on a class of race boats to run. Anybody interested?

I live within walking distance of a lake. I've got a feeling the fishers would tie a weight to my feet and throw me in the middle if I started running a boat around in there Big Grin

There is no fishing at this part of the lakefront. This is after the waterbreak and just before the docks. They fish on the breaks. Trust me, this spot is perfect for r/c boat racing.

Sounds cool Bruce I wish I still had my boats. I had two electric ones that were pretty fast.

are you talking the lake front?
i would not run a boat out there ,unless i had a full size boat to go out and get it if it flips or dies ,
thats why me and fire only run in the ponds or lagoons any where else theres a possiblity of loosing it to the current
fire runs a hydro boat mis bud
i only have air boats right now
