Good Morning All,

I need some advice. We are going to be traveling to some races this year.
The first is the pro-series in Ohio. Can you guys give us some advice on things that we should bring. (tables, generators?)

Thanks,
Lynn

lynn, i read on the dirt country site that you need to bring a table, mabey some extension cords, power is there just for chargers and stuff, if you wanna run a air compressor or something it is reccomended that you bring generator. a easy up would be good choice too...not like it is ever sunny here tho. pitting is outside. Smile

When I am outside, these are the typical extras that I bring. A canopy (I use the ez-up brand), a chair, power strip, extension cord and a small cooler with food and drinks.

Table and chairs are never provided. Some times power isn't provided either, so inverters and convert 12vdc to 120vac are nice too have so you have charge stuff from your car's battery.

Bring a clip on light as well for those late nights at the track. I found one of those aluminum domed clip on lights for like $3-4 at walmart.

Non perishable snacks and a case of water bottles is always a plus.

Traveling this season - Tex - 04-11-2007

first aid kit comes in handy for small cuts and burns and you never know when that chit will happen, it just does.

Traveling this season - Mr. Tune - 04-11-2007

I forgot about the light!! Thanks for the reminder tex. Looks like I'm off to walmart to pick one of those up!

Traveling this season - blktransam - 04-11-2007

I had a race in mississiouri last year and the wife came along we stayed in a motel 6 and got "bed bug bites" the next day at the track we thought we were getting biten my misqitos and we asked a few others they said no bites on them, get home few days later still there and itching liek crazy so I seen our doctor and sure enough bed bug bites we got from motel 6 will NEVER stay at another as long as I live...pay more and be better off, now we also bring our own sheets and blankets etc etc etc

Traveling this season - rocco79 - 04-11-2007

Fcukin Grossssssssssss!!!!!

Traveling this season - chickenfarmer3 - 04-11-2007

....as i said, we are staying at the confort inn....LMAO!

Traveling this season - Tex - 04-11-2007

you can get that chit at any hotel, even expensive ones. It all depends on the support staff that works there and how much they actually give a chit.

Traveling this season - motoxer4life - 04-11-2007

but motels are more likely to have workers that dont give a chit

Traveling this season - Tex - 04-11-2007

why? all the "housekeeping" gets paid the same no matter what hotel...towards minimum wage. The only people that profit at more expensive hotels is the chain or owners/exects, not housekeeping.

Traveling this season - rocco79 - 04-11-2007

Tex-
Hes like 13 .... I was totally gonna post the same thing you said but then i remembered he is what the majority of this board has become... A know-it-all teen that hasnt done squat but can do everything better than everyone else...
