Nice there.

I'm looking at picking up a wireless camera to stick on my RC's for some nice incar footage. Smile

Maybe we should attach it to a certain Jato for some unique footage.

lol....He has a wireless camera. We just need a camera with A/V inputs. We were actually discussing this sunday.

Well, I'm looking at my own setup so I don't have to rely on other people for the parts. I lack the laptop, but thats fixed if I stop being lazy and buy the screen for one of my Powerbook's. They have enough processing power to handle some light video capture.

Engine mounts ordered. Hopefully they will arrive shortly after my IGT so I can mount everything and run it sunday. Smile

Very cool. We should go to the large parking I run my IGT in. More space to have fun instead of just driving striaght turning around driving straight back.

Don't put too much into setting up a wireless cam. Problem with the inexpensive wireless cameras is Nitros vibrate too much and the picture comes out useless. I have a couple different wireless cams both end up with what looks like old scrambled porn on cable.. lol! I tried to isolate them as much as possible too. They do work decent on electrics and great taped to 1:1's to get weird shots of suspensions and bumper cams and burnouts and junk though.

the wireless cams are awesome on electric onroads

Actually the video from the digital camera was fairly stable, just its usual crappy quality.

yeah but that was a complete digi cam on the Rc. Whole diffeent ball game there.. I'm talking about the mini wireless cam. like these..

http://spyville.com/mini-wireless-spy-cam.html

the vibration kills the picture quality on them. They do work great on electric on road for sure. The high dollar ones would probabl work better but best bet would be to get a bullet cam mini mic and a small recording device to keep the wireless completey out of the system. Problem is that would be also be just as heavy and expensive as straping a regualr digicam on an Rc.

Those camera's aren't really what I'm looking for. They aren't built to deal with a great deal of motion. Slow frame rate, wide angle, and not a very good focus for fast moving objects.

I was thinking more a helmet cam as they are more shock resistant.

I'd actually prefer one that records to an SD/Compact flash card or something similar.

Well, no IGT for me this weekend. It arrives Thursday, but the motor mounts won't arrive till Monday, so I can't run it this weekend unless I feel like putting fuel through the GX28, which I don't. Crappy motor. I'll get more on ebay for it if I sell it as a never run motor.

nice!! I wanted that body when I was buying mine last year. The Calsonic body has better aerodynamc qualities than the BMW or the Suby.

John, to go with a single speed, would you just need the center diff from a Kyosho Buggy, or is it a different diff? I know the chassis has the holes drilled for the single speed or two speed set-up. Will the stock diff mounts (moved to the closer holes) work for the single speed set-up? If so, I just need to come across a brake assembly and the diff top plate to convert mine.

you you got it. the other set of holes is for a single speed center diff.

To complete it you would need the center diff from a 7.5/777 buggy (or similiar diff like a Hyper 7/8 center diff) then the top plate and brake setup from a buggy as well as the front center shaft. It uses the same center upright supports just the front one is moved toward the more back holes. I think I have an old center top plate around you can have. No luck on the brake parts though. I used my last brake parts one on my straight line beater car.

Scratch that.. I don't have the center top plate.. forgot I used that on my beater car too.

Thanks... I thought I had the right idea, but it is always better to be safe and ask someone who knows for sure. What would be a decent gearing to run with the single speed? I know you have run the single on the IGT and the Landmax.. The Spur I have is a 46t.

I have fallen to the on-road darkside.... - SixVi6-Camaro - 03-22-2007

you can go pretty big on the CB if you are staying on road only and smaller diamater on road tires. Anywhere from 16-18 works best depending on the engine. I usually run 17/44 (plastic spur gear) or 16/44 on mine with the on road engine. With the silly torque of the Novarossi 28 I was running 18t CB with no problems.

I use a 17t in my Jammin buggy, and I tried the 17t in the LSP with the 528xr too, but the clutch shoes didn't like that very much.
