Looking for a servo - Traxxas_Junkee - 03-08-2007

Anybody got one? NEW IN PACKAGE ONLY. I want to race Sunday, but I blew yet another one in the buggy...

Got to be the car. . .

Looking for a servo - Traxxas_Junkee - 03-08-2007

Yeah, I'm sure it is. I think the servo save is too tight.

This is really the only one I have blown. The other one shorted out from the wires hitting. (didn't notices they were pinched in the box.

it IS an 8ight

I just said it before someone else did. I have an 8ight.

I blew a servo in steering as well because my servo saver was too tight, I replaced the plastic gear in the servo and loosened the servo saver and all is good now.

Looking for a servo - motoxer4life - 03-09-2007

i guess my servo saver is just right then! lol. Ive only blows a throttle servo.

Looking for a servo - Traxxas_Junkee - 03-09-2007

Yeah, I'm gonna loosen the saver. Anybody reccomend any servos? Thinking about the Futaba 9315.

Ace is good, I want one if either of my servos ever go out.

Looking for a servo - dentguy92 - 03-09-2007

I have used the 1015 all year in my buggy and truggy
they are great

Looking for a servo - kevinF - 03-09-2007

ace is great, but so is futaba.

get the ace 1313, tons of power and like $90

the futaba 9351 is a little better but is like $105

both are great servos, but i would have to say i like the futaba a little better

Looking for a servo - Traxxas_Junkee - 03-09-2007

Well I think I'll just get the 9351.

Looking for a servo - slaytanic - 03-09-2007

I just put a 9351 in my matrix truggy and am very happy with it. I think the speed rating is a little lower than it actually is. Seems faster than my rock crusher that rated .10.

Looking for a servo - Tex - 03-10-2007

yep futabas are quicker than what they are rated it seems. Or AIR is slower than rated?

Looking for a servo - Traxxas_Junkee - 03-10-2007

Well I just got back from LH. Got a JR Z9000S. I can't believe I just spent $125 on a servo..... oh well. Eric said Futaba doesn't have the best warrenty.

Looking for a servo - FreeRideFrosty - 03-10-2007

You will LOVE that servo. I had one rated just below that and I loved it. I actually sold it back to ORC (who I bought it from) because he was as happy with it as I was. I am running a lower end JR right now but will probably upgrade to another JR when the time comes.

Looking for a servo - Traxxas_Junkee - 03-10-2007

Yeah, I like JR. Only really had 1 problem with them, but their warrenty is so good you can't really beat them. I was in LH for a good half hour talking to Eric about them. He said he used to run all Futaba but switched to JR. If anything goes wrong with it, the warrenty is just great. I just got it in the buggy and I can't believe how fast it is.

Make sure to scan and save the receipt on your computer just in case.
