ok I'm sure this has been covered but I thought I'd start a thread for all the info you have lol. I was curious what tires work where. indoors....outdoors. I got a buggy and soon a truggy and need to put tires on them. I'm sure the proline velocity rims will be on each of them. so post away and tell me your knowledge.

I am gonna get some GRP cubics premounts to try also, they have molded foams and look real good.

At the hobby show Dave kingston told me they were making an MT tire with K2 tread on a boa carcass.... Needless to say i cant wait....

Because k2's are my fav 1/8 outdoor tire.... Hands down

well for both indoor and outdoor i prefer my tires to be round! Id say thats a good starting point!

why not square???????? lolConfusedmash:

tire thread.... - Hoobajoob - 02-18-2007

na square is more for rock climbing. the corners and edges give me more bite.

tire thread.... - AddictedtoNITRO - 02-18-2007

oh ok gottcha:crazy:

tire thread.... - pwnzor - 02-18-2007

my "attempt" at hooking up this summer for outdoor:

Proline - Crimefighter MTR's (<<hopefully they come with my mugen instead of MT's)
Proline - Bowtie MTR's
GRP - Grips premount
GRP - Cubics premount - many racers on Truggyracers say these are dialed on any surface

tire thread.... - AddictedtoNITRO - 02-18-2007

is there a tire that works halfway decent for both? say like the bowties? also I might be runnin a xxx-nt around the track a few times this year. It has the losi ribs in front and new bowties out back....ok?

tire thread.... - pwnzor - 02-18-2007

i think the bowtie or a crime is a good all purpose tire for DIRT surfaces, but yeah, I used crimes on my buggy and they worked well everywhere I ran it it seemed Wink

on the gas truck.......I have no idea, my friend runs holeshots rear, and blade front i think on his xxx-nt......that would be a good Tex question, I think he runs or ran that class, and had that truck as well Wink

tire thread.... - AddictedtoNITRO - 02-18-2007

Ok Tex I need Your .02 lol

Not sure about the outdoor tires for GT, but indoor is losi pink tapers.

Pink tapers will be available for 1/8 buggies that will work indoor.

tire thread.... - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 02-18-2007

M2 or M3 crimes will work EVERYWHERE in buggy, I like the crimes on my truggy but seldom run bowties. Holeshots may surpise some guys with the surfaces they hook up on

tire thread.... - Rob Kass - 02-18-2007

Czech how are the holeshot MTR's for truggy indoors?

tire thread.... - chickenfarmer3 - 02-18-2007

they blow! no good on mugen atleast.

tire thread.... - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 02-18-2007

tire thread.... - rocco79 - 02-18-2007
