Just wondering if any of you have an LST or LST2 and race it at LHR. I'm new to this forum and have driven my LST at LHR a few times.
What are your setup's for your trucks? What mods have you done. I just can't seem to make my LST (with LST2 Upgrade Kit) run like some of the trucks I've seen out there.

Thanks for the info. Happy New Year!

i WOULD sTART WITH NEW TIRES

Excellent. What are your suggestions?

The new Muggy tires are a direct fit on the LST2 hubs, and have the lower profile and bowtie style design. These would be a good tire for racing. There will be a SLIGHT decrease in top speed with the shorter tires, but you will make up for this with a lot more low end torque out of the corners.

A lot of people running LST's on the track would make the mistake of having the suspension jacked up. This makes taking corners more difficult. Lower the suspension till the arms are level, and install the sway bars if you do not already have them.

Instead of the muggy tires, get some adapters to run regluar rims, either 23mm or 17mm or 14mm. Then get some standard offset rims, and either boa c compound tires or holeshots.

Then do the rest of what newguy said Smile

So are you talking about 1/8th scale buggy wheels with adapters? Please forgive my ignorance as I'm somewhat new. I'm also currently running yellow springs all the way around which keeps my a-arms perfectly level as it weighs 15 lbs.
I did upgrade both sterring servos to the Airtronics 94358's so I have more than enough muscle to turn just about any tire.

Thanks for the patience, thanks for the assistance.

Wow! Thanks Ponch! I will get these rims and tires ordered today!

Appreciate the help.

You're welcome.

The Yellow springs are a bit too stiff for racing. You will get too much weight transfer in the corners. Stick to the stock or Black springs for racing.

The Muggy tires will work, but the Panther tires that Ponch listed may grab a bit better on the Clay. The main difference, is the Muggy tires will wear a little better overall. With the Panther tires, I wouldn't recommend running them anywhere BUT the track. The softer compound will wear down much quicker.

LST's Anyone? - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 01-01-2007

C compound is a stiffer compound and wears MUCH MUCH better than soft

LST's Anyone? - thenewguy821 - 01-01-2007

My mistake.. I thought the C compounds were softer.

Also a wing. The muggy wing fits the lst.
