Panther Boa C and foam ? - Eracer76 - 12-10-2006

Im needing new Boa C's since I ruined mine with acetone, I tried that way to get them off the wheels to replace the foams that were bad (I believe they were the grey ones)
So I bought the seperate Panter white medium foam for them, but now the tires are just not working.

Anyway, my question is, does anyone know....

Did Panther get their grey foams that come with the Boa's fixed, because I thought the white foams were the good ones, (the ones I just bought seperate) but now A-main has the Boa C's listed as still coming with the stiff grey foam?

John Adams was using OFNA orange foam in his Boa C's today, they felt and looked good.....but Ive heard people say they're heavy?

Thanks for any info guys Smile

They are heavy (er)... I own a set with orange in them ... Sonny ran them at the ill state championship. He said they were ok....

I dont think you'll notice the weight.

Btw.... my new boas came with white foam

My new Boas came with white foam.

And with the speed these trucks are kicking out. I doubt the little weight difference will be noticed that much at all.

weight at the tires will make a difference, its alot of unsprung weight and it can cause u car to do funky things sometimes

i know PL is coming out with moldeds for the MTR tires i wonder what those are gonna feel like weight wise

Were did you guys get your new Boa's from, that came with white foam?
Maybe A-main just needs to update their site, cause it says stiff grey foam comes with them?

If they come with white foam and they are good.....I dont have to order extra foam then. Smile

Weight does makes a BIG difference when I comes to wheels/tires....I made the mistake changing tires before the a-main, and put on my old Bowtie MT's with soft foam from the summer (I was desperate)....but they were way worse, heavier, mushier...it was just sluggish and pushing through the turns Sad

I should have just kept the slick but firm and light weight boa's on it, because it was much faster and turned in great, they were just slicker then snot coming out of the turns LOL

Robyn at A Main replied to the question, saying to avoid confusion, state that you want white foams, as they do have some grey ones in stock.

Well, I hope I get the white ones, because I already ordered them last night and Im sure they shipped today, that will suck if I get the old grey ones Sad
