hey, ive been outta this stuff for a few years but as usual got the itch and bout a .21 t-maxx. I ripped it apart and rebuilt it but ran it before that and it ran fine. i finished it last night, started it up today and it the damn thing is driving backwards. when ya spin the spur gear it also only engages when spun in reverse. is my engine spinning the wrong way or something cause i am pretty much baffled by this one...any help will be appreciated, thanx guys

When you rebuilt it, you most likely put the front and rear diffs in backwards. Turn them around.

or very rarely people put the one-way bearing (for the pullstart) on backwards and the motor actually starts backwards, which in turn makes the RC go backwards.

I've seen it happen!!!

thats what i figured it was but i never touched any of that stuff and it worked fine before...guess i gotta rip this whole damn thing apart again and flip the diffs over...looks like another long night...haha

so are you saying i should take the front diff and put it in the rear and visversa or shoud i just leave them in the front and rear and flip them over?

I've done that before! Made me laugh after I did a roll test and found that it freely rolled forward and backword but the center diff stayed absolutely still! Good thing I didn't start it and hit the gas.

Something interesting would have happened.

We will be there. Surprisingly busy last weekend. Cold fingers didn't keep people away at all. I had a really nasty crash. But its all back together and faster than ever.
