Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - rocco79 - 12-07-2006

Agreed

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - MX_KEVIN - 12-07-2006

And I think those are the fix for the old version. Notice there are no threads on the bottem to hold the bushing and Orings in.
You already have the best shocks in the buisness. Wink

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - chickenfarmer3 - 12-07-2006

you could just put some kyosho shocks on there....Wink

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - Eddie F - 12-07-2006

And blow bladders .

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - chickenfarmer3 - 12-07-2006

Wink i was hopeing everyone would see my sarcasm. Smile i cant wait not to have to deal with that anymore.

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - Stahoo - 12-07-2006

Chad,
How were you blowing bladders? (lol...that sounds funny)
Did you wet sand the tops of the bodies to eliminate them cutting into the bladders?

Kevin

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - Eddie F - 12-07-2006

for the pric you pay for a kyosho u shouldnt have to sand nothin , Losi , mugen and TTR have the best shocks IMHO , and they are the lower proced kits .

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - chickenfarmer3 - 12-07-2006

kevin yes i sanded the tops tried many ways to do it, sometimes they worked good for awhile sometimes not. i think it is all luck.

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 12-07-2006

kyosho shocks blow, i cant even count how many bladders i went through iin 3 years

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - chris arnold - 12-07-2006

i never had bladder probs with my k shocks. that could be cuz i used k1 shock caps until i did the foam mod.

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - chickenfarmer3 - 12-08-2006

well, enough of the k shocks... i just got home from the track and OMFG....this truck is unbelieveable. it even makes me look fast for a half a lap here and there. this thing drives like a dream.

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - Casketman - 12-08-2006

Welcome to the darkside! Big Grin

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - rocco79 - 12-08-2006

glad you like it chadly

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - chickenfarmer3 - 12-08-2006

like is a understatement roc, now i know why i didnt even drive one till i got my own. Smile

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - Tex - 12-08-2006

Does it stay more planted with your aggressive drive style comparred to the STR?

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - Tex - 12-08-2006

STR was like a squirel on crack for you

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - chickenfarmer3 - 12-08-2006

way more planted...like i helped the squirrel kick the habit and now he just runs, and hangs on....lol, night and day difference in my driving, and i have only drove it once.

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - Tex - 12-08-2006

So basically the Mugen is a "lazy" truck and the STR is more "Athletic"?

Either one can go fast just different handling charicteristics

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - chickenfarmer3 - 12-08-2006

ya, if you have the patience and are good enough the str can go as fast, but for someone like myself that is still learning the mugen was just WAY easier to go fast. i wouldn't really call the mugen "lazy" it is just alot bigger and you can deff. feel the difference when driving it. you can be a little harder on the gas also and the truck just locks in where as the str you have to be alot smoother on the gas.....just my .02 tho, if you wanna drive it next time at the track you are more than welcome to.

Official Mugen MBX5T Thread - Tex - 12-08-2006

Yes, I would like to try it out.
