Need to beef up my MAXX - TraxMaxx24 - 09-30-2006

After the sweet run at Berwyn with the guys, Ive come to the conclusion that my maxx needs a lot more work than I thought it did.Sad Now I have to get it bulletproofed. If anyone has RPM arms, Aluminum bulkheads or anything else that could get my maxx ready to handly anything please post it. The guys were a lot of help, and I really apriciate the help they gave me. Confusedalute: Im willing to pay cash or trade a ton of Street force spare parts. Let me know thanks again.

s+d2-thrashers rite keep this on topic. and rawk is not new , he just made a new account.

traxmaxx24-some things you might want to keep your truck together is, rpm skid plates, arms and axel carriers, allum bulks and center braces, and some titanium turnbuckles with pro-line ball ends. that will keep your truck bashing. you might also want to look into a new sevo saver down the road. this is the normal stuff i have changer on all my maxxs.

Here's a list of things I was wanting to get for my truck. Its from tower hobbies and ammounts to over $130. Im looking to buy used because I dont want to spend that kind of money right now.
So my list:

Aluminum skid plates F/R
Aluminum skid plate (center)
RPM wide A-Arms
Robinson racing Clutchbell 21tooth
Superduty aluminum chassis braces
Rear aluminum bulkhead
Alloy engine mount

how does this sound for bashing? enough? not enough? Im guna need a little help on this one, cuz this is my first basher truck build. Remember I want to put my truck through hell and it keeps bouncing back. If you guys have any other this stuff i would greatly appriciate it.

i have a few things aluminum lower a-arms for a tmaxx .15 (probably not what you have if you plan on bashing) and i also have a set of dynamite aluminum steering blocks/axle carriers for a tmaxx .15 of 2.5.

axle carriers are blue ano, and the a-arms are ano'd red.

let me know if youre interested, i have no use for these.

rpm axel carriers. once you beef up the a-arms, they become the weak link.

Much of this is overkill, and would not be needed...

Aluminum skid plates F/R --- No need for aluminum here, the RPM ones are cheaper and work great

Aluminum skid plate (center) --- Same as above

RPM wide A-Arms -- Great upgrade

Robinson racing Clutchbell 21tooth --- No need for Robinson gears. Just make sure your mesh is right between the Clutchbell and spur and the regular gears will work great. Also, IF you do go with Robinson gears, you will have to change both spur and Clutchbell. I found this out the hard way.

Superduty aluminum chassis braces --- Alum. Braces are a nice upgrade

Rear aluminum bulkhead -- Aluminum Bulks Front and Rear

Alloy engine mount --- Good choice. The stock mounts do break. The alloy mounts are much stronger.

In addition to the above, I would suggest the RPM axel cariers. They come with the bigger bearings, and are much stronger than stock. Don't forget to add a new air filter to that list....
