I have some dynamite ones now, and they are started to strip. Anyone got anything good to say about other brands? I looked at Craftsman, Matco and Snap-on, but they are all really expensive, and you have to buy the whole kit/package, you can't just buy individual ones.

Thanks.

TTR ones are great!

I have the Hudy's with the plastic handle. I think they are called profi or profit. Very very nice.

Good Hex Drivers? - UE-Maxx - 09-28-2006

I have the hudy with the plastic handle also. I like them.

Dynamite makes a great set of hex drivers. Al's carries them and they rock.

Good Hex Drivers? - mikeh - 09-28-2006

I use the Dynamite ones too. I just could not pay for the expensive ones, and I have no problems with them. But I admit to being jealous of those who own nice Hudy tools!

??? who said you cant buy snap-on ,mac or matco ones seperate? i think someone is pulling your chain. i know for a fact you can, im a mechanic. you just have to deal with the right dealer. The reason most dealers say that is cause they wont make any profit off selling one or two single ones.I deal with them once every week so they know ill spend money. i know if i ever broke a hex and dealer said sorry cant sell you a single one id be POed (and would most likely never buy anything from that guy again). especially when the average tech spends an avereage of $8k+ a year on tools

Good Hex Drivers? - rocco79 - 09-28-2006

look at the link for the ttr ones... They are ball hex and they make standard hex end metrics too... Very nice tools

Good Hex Drivers? - Traxxas_Junkee - 09-28-2006

Well I just looked on Matco and Snap-On's website, I'll have my dad ask the Matco guy when he comes down next time. (My dad owns an auto salvage so they get all the dealers down there too)

Good Hex Drivers? - AddictedtoNITRO - 09-28-2006

yea matco will sell you one only

Good Hex Drivers? - AddictedtoNITRO - 09-28-2006

what auto salvage?

Good Hex Drivers? - Traxxas_Junkee - 09-28-2006

I-55 Auto Salvage. Its in Channhahon, you prolly know where it is if you live in Wilmington.

Good Hex Drivers? - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 09-28-2006

I have Wiha drivers. Al's carries them, but I got mine at Grainger's in Downers Grove. A set of 7 was around $22.

Kyle, the Dynamite one's tip are really long, you can carefully cut off a bit of the tip if it's stripping.

Good Hex Drivers? - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 09-28-2006

the ttr ones rock for the price....cmon when rocco says something from ttr is good u know it must be Smile

Good Hex Drivers? - Traxxas_Junkee - 09-28-2006

I know, I will cut it off and then it will last another month Sad I would just rather get some good ones while I got the money.

If I can't get the Matco's or Snap-On's then I'll get the TTR ones.

Good Hex Drivers? - rocco79 - 09-28-2006

Once again... He didnt ask that. He asked for a good new set....

Good Hex Drivers? - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 09-28-2006

bada bing! lol

Good Hex Drivers? - Tex - 09-29-2006

I personally thought that was a pretty good tip from Ponch but who am I....

I have had Dynamite and currently have Hudy, to be honest my dynamite drivers TIPS lasted longer.
The only reason why I like the Hudy tools better is because the allen shaft is longer and will reach further than the dynamites. Also the handles are a lot better on the hudy tools.

People rave about the losi and TTR tools, I think one of those will be my next set.

Good Hex Drivers? - north_shore_racer - 09-29-2006

maybe i'll go through grainger, my aunt works there so i can get a discount, they got everything, compressors, air brush's, generators, tools. you guys just reminded me that thats available.

dave- how good are those wilha drivers?

Good Hex Drivers? - Mr. Tune - 09-29-2006

While we're on the subject of hex drivers. I have the ofna hex drive set (the one with the 1/4" end for use with a power screwdriver) and I snapped the 2.5M bit in half. Does anyone know where I can by just that one bit? I don't really want to spend another $20+ on the whole package just to replace 1 broken bit.
