E-Savage - north_shore_racer - 09-12-2006

Has anyone seen the new E-Savage? I got a new issue of RC Driver and there was an ad on a page that said E-Savage. Originally i thought it was a thought, or like someone that made an E-Savage Conversion kit like GorillaMaxx did the E-Revo kit but i guess not. It seems like its gonna be same style 2 motor 14.4 volts as the E-Maxx but hopefully with the structure of a Savage, so it will be bashable.

Check that out!

Oh dear god...The other 9-10 versions of the savage werent good enough, so they need a copy with a brushless motor..

Lemme guess whats coming:
E-savage (this version)
E-savage with an upgraded brushless motor
E-savage with original motor and new diffs
E-savage with upgrade motor and new diffs
E-savage with new tires and body
E-savage with new tires, body, diff, but stock motor
E-savage with new tires, body, upgrade motor but original diffs
E-savage with new ties, body, upgrade motor, and upgrade diffs
E-savage SS-No motor, no tires, unpainted body, stock diffs
E-savage SS2- No motor, unglued tired, no body, upgrade diffs

And so on and so forth...And you know its all coming..You cant deny it

E-Savage - Ponch - 09-12-2006

Looks cool with the truck body, not the bug body.

bikerman youre totally right, then you gotta remember the E-Savage with the 3 speed...somehow. i just hope they did it right the first time. and didnt just throw it out there like losi did with the MLST.

E-Savage - AddictedtoNITRO - 09-12-2006

I want one

E-Savage - Bikerman - 09-13-2006

Oh, I forgot one

E-savage Same as the original only with blue esc wires instead of red wires

E-Savage - Tex - 09-13-2006

Quote:I AM REVO2K!

that is just rediculous, please downsize that

That bug body looks killer to me!

E-Savage - rocco79 - 09-13-2006

I saw they had one at Al's lastnight

E-Savage - mikeh - 09-13-2006

Its the same as the Hot Bodies E-Zilla. Only difference is the various bodies you can get. The only Savage compatable parts are the wheels. But who knows, I have never seen one drive, it might be fun.
Oh yeah, its a 1/10 scale truck, like the E-maxx, not 1/8th like the Savage

E-Savage - chicagokenji - 01-04-2007

Anyone tried one of these E-savages yet?

E-Savage - SLOW REVO - 01-04-2007

Dont forget the E Savage x, ssx,

E-Savage - mikeh - 01-04-2007

I don't think they are all that great. No aftermarket support for one thing.

FWIW none of the vehicles I race have any after market parts on them. I have 1/8th, 1/10th gas and electric, 1/12ths.

What good are after market parts for a Savage...electric or nitro?

E-Savage - mikeh - 01-05-2007

Well, I don't know actually. It is more a reflection of part availability, options, and aftermarket support. I think the aftermarket sees the E-Savage as a short lived vehicle. I have not notices much interest in it and so I would be hesitant to purchase one if it seems likely to be discontinued. I had an HPI RS4 MT. It was a great truck, but it was discontinued, I could not find replacement parts for it and had to get rid of it.
As fas as the nitro Savage, it will not be discontinued anytime soon and there is a flood of parts support. But the E-savage does not share any parts with the nitro.
