Traxxas really pushes that you use their fuel. What brand/% does the group use most? Is Traxxas fuel really better with the stock TRX2.5 motor, or is it just a sales pitch.

Sorry - another Revo question... - thenewguy821 - 03-09-2005

The traxxas fuel is good, I know some people use it, and have no problems.

Sorry - another Revo question... - John78 - 03-09-2005

in my opinion I think using their fuel with their engine would be the best way to go. I'm sure they test using only their fuel. 20% or higher is what seems to be the norm.

i use there 33% in my os engine and it runs great. It also ran great in my 2.5. I definatly love that 33%.

Sorry - another Revo question... - Tex - 03-09-2005

I had luck with the top fuel in my 2.5 but i think any gas will work.

Sorry - another Revo question... - ATA_Thrash - 04-18-2005

Ran over 6 gallons thru my 2.5 with odonnel 20% works great.

Sorry - another Revo question... - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 04-19-2005

I have been using OD's 20% and so far it's great. A little hot but still good power when running just a bit rich so that it's not wheelie-ing out of control all of the time.

Sorry - another Revo question... - snakebite46 - 04-19-2005

Used traxxas 33% on my 2.5 and my OS TM. Really liked the stuff.

MX_Kevin and I both got .18 for our revos, only problem his was running 250.. and mine at 210 was running better and out performing his no matter how he tuned it. So as a last resort he switched from trinity to the odonell with out changing tuning he dropped 40 degs and runs awsome now.I didnt think changing gas would make a differance but it did. Traxxas fuel is also very good as Ive seen mitch and rich's results with it.

Am I the only one who doesn't like o'donells? I can't get any of my motors to idle with that stuff (the .26 in the savage and the .21 in the gs). For some reason, even though it makes your motor internals turn greenish/blue, I've had the best luck with blue thunder.

Sorry - another Revo question... - rocco79 - 04-30-2005

I swear by o'donnels fuel.the motor in my lsp is a 24/7 "pro" Big Grin and it runs so well on that fuel!!! I cant lean the motor anymore than what its set at now otherwise it wont stay running... And temps never Get above 210 f. !!!! John and george both have the same good luck with 30% o.d !

Sorry - another Revo question... - Tex - 04-30-2005

I can't seem to get OD's to work ever either, I'll stick with my Trinity

Sorry - another Revo question... - rocco79 - 04-30-2005

.... Its probaly all the same thing they just have us all fooled Smile . just differnt coloring Big Grin

Sorry - another Revo question... - TowShen - 04-30-2005

all i have ever run is topfule....+ all ive ever had is traxxas engins. and ive never had any problems....about 3-4 gallons and still running strong

Sorry - another Revo question... - satoch - 05-26-2005

I ran Top Fuel at first in my 2.5R but switched to Byron's %25 after seeing all the build up inside the engine during a tear down. %18 lubrication is just way too much it gums up the engine.

I now run Byron's %30 in my 2.5R, OS .18TM & TZ With much better performance and no buildup.

Sorry - another Revo question... - Tex - 05-26-2005

How much oil in byron's Bruce?

Nice to see you made it to the boards! Smile

Sorry - another Revo question... - Notochord - 05-26-2005

how much does one bottle of gas cost. and how many runs can you get out of one bottle??

Noto

Sorry - another Revo question... - MX_KEVIN - 05-26-2005

Hey notochord... I think that would depend on your gas milage and/or state of tune (rich or lean)..But on average Ill pay around 25.00 a gal..For bashing/practice that would last me about umm maybe around 4000cc per gal, avg 150cc per tank, and maybe 7 to 15 min. run time per tank. So whats that? About 4 to 7 hours non stop. 25 to 30 tanks Big Grin

Sorry - another Revo question... - satoch - 05-27-2005

Gabe, Byron's has %11 lubrication, White Lightning %8.
