1/8th scale shocks (ID help & info) - Obsessive R/C - 08-11-2006

I picked these up for my buggy thinking they were Kyosho...can anyone confirm this?? The anodizing is the same as the K3 (that certain shade of blue) but I found the shafts are only 3.0mm vs. 3.5mm

I did find out the K3 came with upgraded shocks / 3.5mm shafts that are 2.0mm longer than standard...so I'm guessing these may be MP7.5 - K1 or K2?

Are these worth running or should I look into something with a 3.5mm shaft?
Any help on this would be appreciated.
Thanks, ORC

I think I have a 3.0mm shock shaft also on my k2, and I've never had a problem with them bending. I did have one snap at the threads though, but that was after about a 50ft drop.

I like to get a complete base set up to start with...I have no idea where its at.

The odd thing was that it would unload and spin out in other corners too...unless it was just the track in those spots....I'm still a newb so I don't know :p:

Put the rear swaybar collets farther towards the ends of the swaybar, or go to a thinner swaybar in the rear.

If you don't have them, get the sky blue (I think they're soft) springs.

jerry talk to joey i gave him all my setup sheets. To be honest, you can change alot on that car and not notice anything different. I would say go with 22* hub carriers, 5-7-3 is always been the most solid diff setup in there.
