Thanks Joey

thenewguy821 Wrote:As for diff oils, the most common setups are either 5000/5000/1000, F/C/R, or 5k/7k/1k. Brake bias is best tuned to your driving style. some like the front to grab more, some like the rear to grab a little more. The rear should be toe-in slightly, 1-2*, and the front should be toe-out 1-2*. front arms should be parallel to the ground, and the rear dogbone should be parallel.

These are all basic starting points, and you can tune from there. need more rear traction? soften the rear or stiffen the front springs. More steering? firmer rear or softer front springs.

Keeping in mind, I am fairly new to Buggy racing also, but these are starting points that were sugested to me.

slight rear brake bias.

rear:

ceter hole, top row for shock tower.
inner hole on arms.
outter hole on rear hubs

3º KHZ reat toe plate
2º anti squat
3k mugen in diff
the sways are at the end of the bar, both front and rear appear to be

Slim, do u use the same setup for indoors at LH? Does anybody else have SP2 setup's for the indoor/outdoor track? Also, any indoor/outdoor tire recommendations. Thanks

setup ?'s - MX_KEVIN - 08-29-2006

Im not sure on his setup but im 100% sure his indoor(smooth high traction tight track)setup cant be the same as outdoor (rough med-low traction fast wide open)

setup ?'s - Ponch - 08-29-2006

Tires-

Outdoor; Komodo 2's, MS compound, stock foams
Indoor; Switch 2's, C compound, foam of your choice, prefferably molded.

I honestly like my k2's better than my crimes. I would like to try a set of bowties though. Mike, have you tried k2's? j/w

What if, by changing tires, you got a faster lap than sonny o's best?

If you want next time we're both at the track you can try mine for a tank.

setup ?'s - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 08-29-2006

thanks, but i dont see the point if i like them i cant run them anyway. Im gonna try bowties they should be the ticket

setup ?'s - Ponch - 08-30-2006

Not even at club races?

setup ?'s - Mr. Tune - 08-30-2006

What would be the point of racing a tire at a club race? All you'd be doing is wasting valuable practice time on a tire you can't run at the bigger events.

setup ?'s - Tex - 08-30-2006

Matt, Mike is sponsored by proline, put it together.

setup ?'s - kevinF - 08-30-2006

im gonig to order up some bowties once I get some money

setup ?'s - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 08-30-2006
