I have never seen clutch shoes seperate themselfs from the flywheel pins before.

The truck still excelerates like a mofo, but it runs hot, blows plugs in less than a 1/4 tank unless I richen it up alot, and stalls intermittently.

A 3.3 is basically a .21 motor (ok .20), so why would Traxxas even think of running the clutch from a .15 motor on it?

Switch to a .21 clutch system and you'll be fine.

stock clutch works flawless on the 3.3. It will last just as long if it were in a 2.5 or any other .15.

No need to switch to a .21 clutch if you ask me. That's the first traxxas clutch I've had that went bad prematurely. No need to dump it just yet Smile.

I think since its a .20 its time traxxas or the racer steps it up to a real 1/8 style clutch...

1/8th scale or equiv would be a good upgrade.

yes it would although I couldn't fit one to my 3.3 easily at all. Clutched up, the end CB bearing doesn't even ride on the crankshaft. There is an extender though and it could be done.

On second hand I did run the stock clutch on my 3.3 and it looked new still when I took it out the other day. Not one bit of trouble with it.

On this new TZ I have there is plenty of space for an 1/8 scale clutch.

Yeah the spacer Gabe is talking about is in the Ofna Shim Kit, the big one. The guys at LH call it the "top hat"...
