OS V-Spec 21 performance advice - MaxxGS - 06-29-2006 I haven't been aroung much but I'm starting to work on my stuff. I just finished breaking in a stock out of the box OS V-Spec 21 engine. The engine runs excellent and I’m getting ready to start tuning for racing plus I need a few spare parts. Currently I’m running the following OS-2050 pipe and header P3 glow plug Mugen carbon shoes and 1:1 springs 30% nitro fuel RB Air filter assembly I race on small, medium and large tracks and the engine is going in my GS SUT CE Truggy. The OS-2050 is made for the engine but has anyone tried anything else? I have a NR-9853 a NR-9886 and a JP-1. Should I just stick with the OS-2050? I need to get a few extra glow plugs. What good? P3, P6 or P7. What can anyone tell me about bearing problems? When should I change my bearings and what bearings should I use. Any advise or shared experiences with this engine would be appreciated. OS V-Spec 21 performance advice - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 06-29-2006 keep the 2050 on, I would change the rear bearing now just to be safe unless u have the time to send it in the OS and wait for a new motor. Get some P3 plugs and some RB 5 turbos. Add the extra shim and run the red restrictor. The motor has a ton of power and will run all day at 230 |
