I forgot about that trick!!! I haven't even been able to pull that one off!!!

all it takes is bad depth perception, and an RC that accelerates too fast for its own good Cool

oh neat - squirrel - 03-17-2006

I was gonna say poor depth perception and a driver thats a little to slow to react?

you can't really react to an object being in the way, when you think the RC is 10ft past it.

oh neat - squirrel - 03-17-2006

True At least it wasn't running away at that time!

The CRT cannot be backflipped... not with a collari .30 jp-1 and crimefighter tires atleast.

I was on the throttle so long in the air the motor started to cut out, and I landed on the hood of the body.

Before I got bashing, shit just kept going wrong with my CRT. First the OWB was slipping (again, fixed by preheating the motor alot), then the brakes wern't working again (and the front brakes still are not), then I lost a wheel nut and spent about 15 minute diggin through the lawn, and luckily found it. Then I lost some stand off thing that goes to the front knuckle, and some time during the bashing, I lost the rx box cover.

Boiling parts works. I landed hard as hell on the rear tires alone several times, and once on just the wing.

I put the truck through more abuse than I was planning on doing today, but I didn't break a single part... just lost a few.

Big air, yes! Backflip.. no Sad.

edit: oh yeah, I was getting wheelies too. 10k center, 15t clutchbell.

oh neat - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 03-22-2006

Lock up that center diff and see what happens.....

oh neat - BottledBeast - 03-22-2006

well that sucks that no backflips but we will see what happens at woodrige

oh neat - satoch - 03-22-2006

The CRT is a race truck not a basher. If you want back flips get a Savage.

Seems to have made a great basher soo far. I've got about half a gallon on it, with 1 broken hub hub carrier.

LOL

I don't really care about backflips that much, espically after doing so many, so easily, with my mugen truggy and supermaxx. I just wanted to see one done with a CRT, since I havn't found any vids of it yet.

Rob is a basher not a racer, which means that whatever he buys will be a basher. Confusedmash: Confusedmash:

oh neat - Michowski - 03-23-2006

The way I feal is why buy a race truck thats meant to be raced and then bash it? Im totally cool about it because its your money but it makes no sense to buy a truck thats made to race and bash it. Just my opinion tho.

Just because its good at one thing, doesn't mean it wont do others extremly well.

oh neat - RobH - 03-30-2006

I always gotta break somethin dumb.

oh neat - Obsessive R/C - 03-30-2006

Holy busted crankshafts Batman!!! How did you manage that?

oh neat - Traxxas_Junkee - 03-30-2006

OUCH, good question, how exactly did you manage that?

oh neat - rocco79 - 03-30-2006

Maybe chassis flex did it with all those botched backflip attempts??? The cb was prolly hittin the chassis and that may have fractured it...... maybe

Ebay for a crank???

oh neat - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 03-30-2006

Massive torque.

oh neat - rocco79 - 03-30-2006

naw, cb and clutch would never hold tight enough to sheer the crank

oh neat - RobH - 03-30-2006

My guess is also chassis flex, I was gettin some big air and had quite a few bad landings today. Time for a Z-Brace.

oh neat - rocco79 - 03-30-2006

Rob... that motor still have good compresssion??? Just get a crank for it if you can

oh neat - rocco79 - 03-30-2006

Just looked on ebay... No cranks bro...

oh neat - RobH - 03-30-2006

I'm workin on a deal with Obsessive. The compression on the collari is still excellent.

oh neat - rocco79 - 03-30-2006

does it still have compression though?
