any of you like 7-10foot screens?

have i got a deal for you.

i just got this projector from a friend...i told i him id buy it, BUT i didnt realze the size it was... its not bad but i have a apt and the depth is more than i can accomodate and i have a corner couch which is killing the deal...

HT buffs perfer this style over the new small ones.... as they are far superior in pic quality.

these normally sell for 300 on ebay for this model, 130 bux and its yours.

no shipping. Wink

I have a 60" rear projection... the only sucky part (ok, there's a few) about a big screen like mine (or any other large screen) is that you get used to the size. So, from that point on, your forced to buy at least the same size screen or it will always feel inferior. The other crappy thing is moving it... man, it weighs a ton.

If/when we ever move out of an apartment, I'm getting one of those things like I think your selling. Mount it to the ceiling and be done with it. If your willing to spend some $, you can get high def ones as well...

will this just work in place of a TV? cuz then i might be interested for a kickass set in my room...lol but seriously i might be...

like my question is can i take everything that would normally go through the TV and plug it into this like a ps2 or wut not? also...pm me with more details about it if you have any. i actually am interested.

yea use it to play games, vcr, dvd, what ever.

there is no "tuner" in it, it has to be supplied a video signal.

it has S video, standard video, and component RBG inputs.

i just ran a quick yellow vid cable to it, so the pic can only get better.

i already dont wanna watch the reg tv any more.

now you do have to have a dark room to watch it, thats the draw back... if we were gonna keep it, it would be only for "movie nights"

i gotta get the final hell no from the wife. but i already know what the answer is gonna be.

Man I'd put that thing on wheels and watch movies or heck play Xbox 360 on the side of the house! lol..

If I had a real use for it I'd be all over it. that would be wicked to have if you have the space.

Thats an old CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) Tri-Color projector. Those things are beasts, if it breaks though I don't think you would be able to get it fixed. So don't drop it. 500 Lumens is pretty low light output. You'll need a bright screen to project it onto. You can get some stuff called Screen Goo that allows you to paint any size screen on a wall and has excellent reflection properties. The only thing is its permanent if you do it that way.

sony home theater projector 7-10 foot screen!!! - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 02-24-2006

For $130 you knew it wasn't the greatest thing out there, right....it still would be cool to watch movies on the side of the house on a moonless night during the summer!
