HAHAHA!! Sucks to be you!! I don't think I could drive 5 miles with tommy in my car without purposefully aiming for a wall. LoL J/P man... I imagine a few people will follow each other out there but not everyone.

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - BottledBeast - 02-23-2006

what about u dan who u gonna ride wit?

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - FreeRideFrosty - 02-23-2006

I'll be leading the race in the VW. LoL I dunno... If I am going I will probably end up driving. I would probably lay the back seats down and just throw all of my RC stuff in the GTI. Plus I can see how bad the subs rattle everything. LoL

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - BottledBeast - 02-23-2006

well if u want to save money get in wit me we will all split the gas so itll be cheap and with tommy in the car it will be a fun ride.......lol

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - FreeRideFrosty - 02-23-2006

It depends who else is going. If my buddy Jim comes... and then if steve decides to go we will need to see. Plus I just like driving long trips sometimes. If we need to fit 3-4 people plus RC stuff in one SUV it will be VERY tight. That stuff multiplies a lot faster than you think. I will let you know for sure within the next few days though...

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - BottledBeast - 02-23-2006

suv???im talking 05' f-150 with the extended cab..i fit in the back and im fine and im a big and tall so itll be all good for skinny people..and thier is a cap on it so everything will stay in place

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - FreeRideFrosty - 02-23-2006

NM Then. LoL Hell I'll bring a mattress and sleep in the bed. LMAO

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - BottledBeast - 02-23-2006

lol...so what does that mean u gonna drive the VW or ride wit me?

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - FreeRideFrosty - 02-23-2006

I don't know. I will probably end up driving if I go. Not sure though. For now we should stop cluttering up this thread...

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - BottledBeast - 02-23-2006

yea good point...

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - Tex - 02-23-2006

Hey Tune, when are you leaving? Like what time on Friday the 7th?

Mich, Campmaxx is April 7-9th, the charity race is Apr. 21st-23rd, and the Pro series race at DirtBurners is May 19th-21st. That's not cramped IMO.

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 02-23-2006

FYI, I make that drive a lot to go to my offices in St Louis. It's 285 miles from Naperville and the track site MapQuested out at 315 miles. I would allow more like 5 hours, especially pulling a trailer, unless you a not worried about the po-po. It's hard to make good time around the St Louis area. The traffic flow is whacked.

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - Tex - 02-23-2006

it's 267 to downtown STL from my exit at Weber Rd. The track is about 40 miles outside of STL (west on I70) and it usually takes us about 4-5 hrs depending on speed and stuff.

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 02-23-2006

Yeah that "speed" thing can make it anywhere from 4 to 5 hours

4hrs @ 80mph avg
5hrs @ 65mph avg

I always have a hard time keeping high avg speed because you have to slow down around Springfield and Bloomington, and then around STL it can get pretty slow, starting when you reach the River.

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - Mr. Tune - 02-23-2006

Have dave, nice topgun quote in you sig!!

Tex, I think I read that you have to work on friday? If so, I'll goto work myself. I get home about 5:30ish. Then I'll eat a quick dinner and gather my stuff. I would swing by your house around 7ish?

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - Tex - 02-23-2006

7ish on Friday night would work great Tune!

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - Mr. Tune - 02-23-2006

Gabe, 7pm it is Smile.

If anyone else would like to fill up the extra space in the trailblazer, let me know.

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - Tex - 02-23-2006

So 72mph gets you there in about 4 1/2.... Yeah Iusually do 80mph in the country and 70mph in the cities

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - Tex - 02-23-2006

Yep me and Tune need 2 more people to ride down with us after the work day on Friday Apr. 7th at 7pm. So whoever needs a ride and works that Friday here is a golden shower, I mean golden chance for you.

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - Mr. Tune - 02-23-2006

As mx_kevin would say...

Mr. Tune drives his trailblazer like he drives his revo! Will make good time ... Smile.

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 02-23-2006

State troopers will notice a Blazer doing 80 pulling a trailer.

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - Tex - 02-23-2006

Dave why don't you come with us?

CampMaxx '06- First Campout of the new year - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 02-23-2006

I wish! Ryan would be diggin' it, too. But 6 hours one Sunday a month is about all the wife will tolerate until school is out for Summer. Then we live and breathe NITRO!

I'll be invisible Smile

Just keep real quiet in the truck and the cops will never know you're there.....

You know, in theory, the faster you go, the less time you spend on the road, and therefore will be less likely to encounter a police radar trap. Think about it.
