quick t-maxx question - mikecooper - 02-10-2006

I was wondering if it is bad to run the t-maxx without the part that goes on top of the engine head, the one that the glowplug quick start cord goes through
here is a pic of it

the black head cover? Dont worry about it, its just so the head doesnt get scratched. I lost mine on the 6th tank and never bought another.

Then you put zip ties thru the head to do the same job and they never come off.

You might want to protect the blue wire from rubbing on the head.

ok thanks dave, I was thinking the same thing, because I don't want it to melt the wire.

quick t-maxx question - Tex - 02-10-2006

it won't melt the wire unless your excessively lean and overheating

u could throw one of the heat things that go around the fuel and vent lines, if you are that worried about it.

or fuel line or shrink tubing...see how productive this got once you put the picture back...everyone chimes in.
