Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - r0nd3L - 10-11-2004

One guy wants to trade his REVO for my e-maxx. I would include charger, batteries, extra body, velocity 6 rims and masher tires and $80. Does this sound good or not really?

Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - firesprink281 - 10-11-2004

your maxx have alot of mods? that sounds a little to good.

Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - Michowski - 10-11-2004

is the revo used or new?

Michowski Wrote:is the revo used or new?

Revo is used very little. He said he is trading for electric, because he and his wife are building a track in they yard and they live in a crowded community, so he wants something more silent. E-maxx is totally stock, except rims tires, body, charger, batteries.

Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - Michowski - 10-11-2004

i would say its a really good deal. But before i traded i would make him drive it a tank while your there so you can see how its running and stuff. Check the temps, make sure all is good you know. And if he does that and it runs fine go for it. I no i would. And what is he talking about. The revo is one of the quietest mt's out there if not the quietest. Ask anyone here thats seen mine.

Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - Technical RC - 10-11-2004

Sounds like a good deal.

He seems more motivated by getting the right truck for
his purpose that trying to get top dollar for it.

TRC

Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - r0nd3L - 10-11-2004

I can't see a truck running, he lives in WV. Maybe he could take a vid or something. I asked for pics too. Ohh yeah, he also said that he is 50?

Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - Michowski - 10-11-2004

well whats he want your truck and 80 dollars. Tell him your truck for his truck and if the truck runs how you like it then you will send the 80. At least thats what i would do. Then again thats not right. I dont no i would do it. I can always help ya out since ive had this truck from the first day its been out. Go for it. You wont regret getting the revo

Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - bigdangerous - 10-11-2004

if it sounds too good to be true. it probably is.

For the most part, I believe that theory also. But it is not always true. It sounds to me like he is getting a great deal. If the guy is 50, I doubt that he is out to screw anyone on a deal. I would talk to the guy on the phone, reach an agreement, that Whichever of you sends first, e-mail a tracking number, then the other party ships, and e-mails a tracking number. Mich has a point, try offering to send the truck, then when you recieve the Revo, send the $80. Also, you can ask him if he has any trade references, or an e-bay listing, where you can check feedback....

Good Luck...

Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - DO-U-MAXX - 10-11-2004

definately wait to send him any money until you receive the product. Trading vehicles is not safe by any means. There is no way to make sure that he wont just keep yours and never talk to you again. Yes this sounds like the perfect option to do, but just read over on the other boards about members doing such trades and getting shafted on the deal. Be a little wary as it is almost too good to be true. Even if you verify that he is legit on other websites, those websites can do nothing to him if he does not come through for you.

Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - r0nd3L - 10-12-2004

I did some counting today and my e-maxx totalled around $600 when I added everything. Revo is $450 + battery and charger. Of course I couldn't sell mine for $600, but he couldn't sell it for $450 either. I'll talk to him today how we could deal with money and such. Thanks for help.

Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - DO-U-MAXX - 10-12-2004

good luck on whatever you decide.

Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - thenewguy821 - 10-12-2004

What you put into it is never what you can get out of it.... With that in mind, you try to get the best you can get, and a Revo for an E-Maxx sounds like a good deal to me...

Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - NitroNoob - 10-12-2004

If anything trade the guy straight up, truck for truck. If he wont do that then I would pass, especially if you have $600.00 into your truck and a brand new Revo will run you $450.00.

Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - r0nd3L - 10-12-2004

Alright, I agreed truck for truck, but I'll also include set of a arms, shock towers, bulkheads, and shocks which are brand new from my s-maxx. I think that's pretty good deal.

Quick Question (revo, emaxx) - Tex - 10-12-2004

yeah that's a decent deal.

Your giving him good GP cells aren't you? (2) 7 cell packs?

By the way, your stuff was mailed today.

Yeah, I'm giving him GP3300 7 cells and some crappy 6 cells. I don't really need them, so why keep them. Thanks alot for shipping the stuff. I heard you are shipping with UPS, right? Maybe you can PM tracking #.
