My new paintjob... - Ponch - 12-28-2005 Like it? My new paintjob... - JOE - 12-28-2005 i like it looks really smooth and clean the colors are good matches My new paintjob... - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-28-2005 I like it...clean and simple with plenty of room for stickers without covering up your hard work! Was that masked with thin tape to edge the colors like that? My new paintjob... - Ponch - 12-28-2005 Thanks, I was going for that simple but cool and clean look... My new paintjob... - Ponch - 12-28-2005 Oh heck no that wasn't masked...That was an internal decal! lol.... My new paintjob... - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-28-2005 Then you did a good job of sticking it on there!!! My new paintjob... - Ponch - 12-28-2005 Thanks! Yeah, I think they look real good. My new paintjob... - UE-Maxx - 12-28-2005 Looks good. What do you use to cut the different things out on the body and even the body. I used lexan scissors for the first time today (2nd body I painted) and it helped a lot. I didn't have them for the first body. I was able to cut all the way around the whole body nicely, but I always make crappy cuts cutting out cooling holes and a hole for my gas tank. My new paintjob... - Ponch - 12-28-2005 I use the Dubro Body Scissors and Body reamer kit. Seperate, they cost about $30, but together in this kit they were $12. I use the body reamer to make clean body holes, and just gouge out a hole where I want the engine, and then carefully cut from the hole, the rest of it out with the body scissors. My new paintjob... - UE-Maxx - 12-28-2005 I got the Dubro kit also. I never thought of making the hole as big as the reamer will go. My new paintjob... - Ponch - 12-28-2005 I just do that so the scissors will fit in there better... My new paintjob... - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-28-2005 If you make good sharp score line with an xacto knife, the lexan will just simply tear/peel along the line. It's hard to believe until you see it. But it's the easy way, especially on round holes. They turn out nice. Try it on some scrap plastic, like the stuff electronic toys come in. My new paintjob... - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 12-28-2005 I use a dremel and its just the easiest way to do it in my opinion, you can get everything smooth and perfect lines My new paintjob... - Tex - 12-28-2005 I thought you masked that off too.....looks fast My new paintjob... - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-28-2005 Mike, which tool do use in the dremel to cut? My new paintjob... - Obsessive R/C - 12-28-2005 I used to use the Dremel but it gets too messy...I use an X-Acto knife to score it and it tears clean and even. Perfect for the curves. My new paintjob... - Racin' Ranger1 - 12-28-2005 jeez its about time u got a new body for it lol, the other one was getting pretty tore up My new paintjob... - Ponch - 12-28-2005 Huh? You've never even seen the other body and it was still in fine condition, just crappy looking paint.
