REVO CF Stuffs; Where to buy and what? - Ponch - 10-18-2005

For starters, I'm looking to get rid of the battery/receiver box, and throttle box. FOC already installed. Thanks alot.

I found these so far, but they seem a little pricey.

vantage makes a CF chassis, and soon, CF arms.

i bought both the carbon fiber kits from extreme racing so i could remove my boxes. Im still running there throttle one. Definatly good stuff from them. I would stay away from vantage if your gonna be racing. All they have is that stock chassis which isnt going to help you if you want to race. You need an extended chassis to help you get around the track faster.

This is a little cheaper to eliminate the throttle servo box. For 10 bucks you can beat it.

And the wing mount set is pretty good too or you can use mbx5's

I'm liking that technorc throttle servo mount!

I'm off to make an order...

I wish I had the money to get this stuff... I just got back in from doing some high-speed runs, and my truck gets all loud. Turns out I broke the manifold, right were it starts the small tubing, after where it bolts onto the truck.

Where I circled. Anyone else have this prob? No rollover or nothing.

That is a nice bolt-on design for the wing. Might not be the strongest looking parts, but ya never know!

REVO CF Stuffs; Where to buy and what? - Ponch - 10-18-2005

And that tekno stuff looks real good too. I just weighed my truck, and it ended up as 7.5lbs. Can't be right though, because all I've done to reduce weight is switch to rpm clawz and slicks, foc, and cut down throttle servo box. Or is it correct?

REVO CF Stuffs; Where to buy and what? - Tex - 10-18-2005

7.5lbs with no rims and tires would be more like it! That can't be correct.

Also Mich, alot of people are going back to the stock chassis for racing revos. There are pros/cons to both from what I hear. I've been going back and fourth with Jim(KY) about it. That's why I haven't made the switch yet. I want more race time with the stock chassis before I jump to the extended. Then I can get an acurate view of the pros/cons myself. Your Greevo is hooked up though and it seems to work real well for you. You were also fast with the stock chassis so.....

I like the tekno RC stuff, nice and cheap. If you guys have seen my throttle servo mount (maxx bulk braces) that only cost me $10 total.

REVO CF Stuffs; Where to buy and what? - Michowski - 10-18-2005

i definatly like my extended chassis better. For me it seems a lot easier to drive and i can also gear it lower and not have to worry about wheelies as much. But whatever works best for you is all that counts.

Sorry dude, I just saw that on other forum. If I can get on earlier you might have save yourself a few bucks.

REVO CF Stuffs; Where to buy and what? - Obsessive R/C - 10-20-2005

It's funny... actually I had ordered the CF battery box eliminator and they sent me the CF throttle mount. I e-mailed X-treme and explained that they sent me the wrong part, Bruce is sending me out the CF battery box and I get to keep the throttle mount for free. :joy:

REVO CF Stuffs; Where to buy and what? - Ponch - 10-20-2005

I'll buy the mount for $5.hehehe
