We are only 4 days and 1 hour into october and the pageview count is already higher than the entire month of january!

Previous post count in 1 day: 257 on septmenter 30th
New record: 343 on october 4th

Previous single day record for pageviews: 9176 on sept 23rd.
New record: 11579 on october 4th (first time over 10K in a single day)!!!

Previous record pageviews in a month: 126806 in sept.
We've broken the monthly pageview count 4 months in a row!!

Current number for oct is 28688.

Will we hit 150k+ this month? Will it be the 5th month in a row for record breaking? Only time will tell....

We don't like useless posts though. SO...if you have something worth saying we'd love to hear it!

"post whores" in general say a bunch of usless time waisting stuff 99% of the time. Please don't turn into that!

I saw on another board (might have been Traxxas?) where they started a Forum Group that was for serious, no BS posts only. No "I think" or "it might" kind of opinionated posts. Just stuff that is proven information, without judgement. Ask your question, get an answer. No arguements, no bickering allowed.

How does this idea sound here? I'm as guilty as the next guy for tossing in humor, sarcasm, or an extra post where it's not needed. This would keep serious threads short and easy to follow, in that forum.

Just an idea....

For those trying to break records tonight....read up! - More Juice - 10-06-2005

too serious. no fun. why make a forum so dull? wouldn't you want to hear peoples opinions just to see what they have to say. Even if it's negative, you want to hear it b/c you might want to change it or make it better. Opinions and comments are what makes the forums fun to read.

Keep in mind this rule would be just for the "NO BS" forum. If you want opinions and witty banter, you could post it in the Lounge.

i love the silly stuff, a no bs forum would be a good idea cause then you could get your answers pretty quick! but i love when the dirt dawgs get into it or we hijack some random post to have some fun!

p.s. tex/towshen/six i ever get like that b!@#h slap me!

Post whoring and silly useless stuff is all good in the lounge but if someone asks a serious question keep it on topic within reason. things have been fine thus far with the serious questions getting a good response both negative and positive with some jokes in there for good measure.

Also No Way I'd condone anything that may have been done on the Crapsaxx board nor will anyhitng on this board get anywere near the level of Facist crap on the traxxas board.

+1!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive read post from users about how unbeliveibly strict the mods are over there!

For those trying to break records tonight....read up! - SixVi6-Camaro - 10-06-2005

strict is an understatement.. early on when there was a group of us that had a 1000 post thread on traxxas I got banned for saying "cooler full of beverages" because a cooler could be filled alcohol. also after I got bakc onto the board I got warning points for recomending Non-traxxas hop ups and posting links to anyplace other than traxxas the traxxas site. Now that is strict!

Wow!!!! What a bunch of D*$#S!!!!

For those trying to break records tonight....read up! - squirrel - 10-07-2005

Yes!

Keep in mind Traxxas' board is there as a function of their business, as a customer service. I would be likely to stop threads that encourage people to buy from my competitor, or bash my products unfairly.

Open, public boards like this one self-regulate. Traxxas makes no bones about what they will and won't tolerate in posts there. It's a service that costs them money to operate. They can run it any way they want, and anyone can choose to not go there if they don't like it's rules.

It's just like TV...don't watch the channels you don't like.

My suggestion about no BS threads was not directed at the entire ChiTown site, but mearly suggests a way to post a thread in a streamlined forum. Jokes and opinions, not allowed. People looking for short threads with concise information would appreciate finding it without wading through pages of smilies and wise-cracks. We can keep posting those everywhere else.

Sorry if my "suggestion" was taken in the wrong light. It was just a suggestion, not a complaint of the operation of this board, which BTW I think is great!
