dog feet! and where's the front end?

The General Paint Thread - UE-Maxx - 12-01-2006

LOL That's the dogs laying spot. I had to move her.

An axle is drilled wrong and the cvd will bind, so I couldn't build it. I should be getting one tomorrow or Monday for some racing next weekend.

The General Paint Thread - Tex - 12-01-2006

body looks real good dude, def. your best yet!

The General Paint Thread - Ponch - 12-01-2006

Pretty sweet dude....

The General Paint Thread - UE-Maxx - 12-01-2006

Once I have everything that I need for the 8ight, I will be spending more time on CFX paintworks. I am sure I will learn something that could possibly help me out with practicing cutting lines.

The General Paint Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 12-01-2006

u dont need to spend time on cfx to learn how to practice cutting lines (although i highly recommend the site lol) all you can do is practice and have insane amounts of patience, it takes me about 3 times as long to cut the masks as it does to paint it

The General Paint Thread - UE-Maxx - 12-01-2006

I have a lot of patience. Look's like I just have to practice.

The General Paint Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 12-01-2006

yup the more bodies u do the better, you can also mask off coke bottles and stuff and paint stuff on there

The General Paint Thread - UE-Maxx - 12-01-2006

Only problem with that is when you cut the bottle, it stays in a circular shape. I know it helps with like the curves of the body, but it is still weird.

The General Paint Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 12-01-2006

thats the thing, it helps u get used to cutting around curves and stuff

The General Paint Thread - UE-Maxx - 12-01-2006

Gotcha

The General Paint Thread - UE-Maxx - 12-08-2006

Are spaz stix paints waterbased? I thought I read that they are not, but I asked someone at a hobby shop and they said they were waterbased. I was couldn't find anywhere on the bottle that said what they were.

The General Paint Thread - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-08-2006

pretty sure they are lacquer....do they really stink and make you dizzy when you spray them? then they are prolly solvent based....

read all about it here:

The General Paint Thread - UE-Maxx - 12-08-2006

I haven't bought any yet. Needed to find out what they are before I do buy them.

The General Paint Thread - Tex - 12-08-2006

guys, please paint safely and wear masks with laquer paints...I know this is a Known thing but that stuff is toxic...toxic=bad in this case Wink

Huffing paint is not a good thing and it will kill a ton of brain cells, just listen to Mike talk for a while and you'll see what I mean.....Wink
Plus if your going to huff paint, use the good chit, silver and gold

The General Paint Thread - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-08-2006

Spaz instructions sheet. Clean up section states "lacquer based".

Wear your respirator, not just a cheesy 3M sanding mask.

You should wear a mask at all times when you are spraying. Just because they water based doesn't make them good for you, unless you want plastic coated lungs. Rolleyes

There is no need to wear a mask with water based paints.

The General Paint Thread - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-08-2006

Not true. Take care of your lungs, at all costs!! Faskolor may not be as toxic like lacquer, but it's still not inert.

The General Paint Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 12-08-2006

if it sticks to lexan it will stick to ur lungs...i tried using HOK with just a 3m mask on big mistake lol
