I dont know why you gotta be the loudest. then your music sounds like S#$!. motoxer4life Wrote:His sounds really good and loud.... J-Dub... If you don't do stuff half-assed, and invest the right amount of time and coin, you can get the best of both worlds. Just takes some knowledge. Official Car Audio Thread - J-Dub - 04-28-2008 There is a pyramid of sound, but it's fragile. Official Car Audio Thread - Opliko - 04-28-2008 Let them be loud. When they are 50 and can't hear out of one ear we can explain to them that louder isn't better. But they won't hear us. Official Car Audio Thread - J-Dub - 04-28-2008 Lol. Very true. Official Car Audio Thread - RobH - 04-28-2008 I used to think systems were stupid and a waste of time and money, until I rode in my friends car who had a decent sub, amp, and tweeters added onto his factory system. I couldn't stand listening to music in my car after that, it was so dull and boring. Its just one of those things that you won't fully understand until you have it, then once you do, you'll never want to be without it. Official Car Audio Thread - Opliko - 04-28-2008 That's how I was with my computer speakers. I had some Creative 5.1 speakers, not too bad I guess, but then I got logitech z5500 digitals. The quality is superb as long as you don't use equalizers (has built in sub control, have to turn it down sometimes to get the right balance), only lacking area is midrange, but that's to a musically trained ear. Granted they have 1100 watts of power, I normally have the volume on 3-4 of 20 (plus 3 boost levels after 20....) which is plenty loud enough for normal listening. In a bigger room (over 12x12) I would say 4-5 would be pretty good. Official Car Audio Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 04-28-2008 Ya after hearing fender rattling subs i wouldnt want to listen to music any other way Official Car Audio Thread - RobH - 04-29-2008 Czech-it-Out Graphics Wrote:Ya after hearing fender rattling subs i wouldnt want to listen to music any other way no rattling in my car Official Car Audio Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 04-29-2008 still gay Official Car Audio Thread - Tex - 04-29-2008 I'm 31 and still bump my stuff all around town........I don't give a shit what ANYBODY thinks. Nice sounding music never gets old no matter how old you are.... Official Car Audio Thread - Ponch - 04-29-2008 Gabe you still have the Jetta? Official Car Audio Thread - Tex - 05-01-2008 yessa Official Car Audio Thread - RobH - 05-05-2008 Okay, I got a kicker zx1000.1 amp, hooked it up.. it was good for like 2 minutes, but volume was on 1/2 of what I usually have it, and it ended up cutting out again as usual, and the amp was barely warm. After it cut out the first time, it goes on and off every 5 to 10 seconds. I put my old 750.1 back in and barrowed another to run both, same results. Also, there was alot less bass with both those setups compared to 1 zx750. I'm pretty pissed right now. Official Car Audio Thread - Michowski - 05-05-2008 take a trip to music n motion and have somebody set all your stuff up correctly. I needed to replace the EGR valve. I couldn't drive it to the shop. It would idle as if it were cammed and when it was in drive, as soon as I would let off the gas the motor would die. Anyways, I got my cat back installed. It sounds AMAZING. As soon as I can figure out how to blur my license plate, I'll post a video. Anybody know how to in windows movie maker or vegas video 4?
