I have a Collari .30 that the slide in the carb seems to hang up a little. It uses a 2 needle aluminum Sirio carb. At a certain point in the idle speed screw adjustment the slide will stick. The motor seems to hold a tune just fine but I can't adjust the idle just right.

Could I use a different carb, say...from a .21?
Would manufacturer make a difference? O.S. RB, etc.
Anyone?? hello... tap...tap..tap...is this thing on???
It might just need to be used more and broken in. lots of carbs have stickey barels when they are new. Also you could try and packing the boot of the carb with gease. this will keep the boot sealed and keep the barrel of the carb lubed.

You can use another carb but .21 carbs have different diamater carb bases. OS, RB, Novarossi.. any high end carb would be good to use as a replacement if you decided to go that route but you will have to be sure they carb base diamater matches.
Thanx Six,
Its not so much that its sticky...more like the barrel is sloppy. It just seems like it could fit better and then would operate smoother. Is this how these are normally? The slide carb on my 2.5R is super smooth. That's the only reason I'm questioning it.
no they should not be sloppy. the barrel should be a nice prescise and snug fit in the carb body.
Thats what I was thinking.
