What do you guys think of the Airtronics MX-3S radio? I like my MX-A, this is the synthesized FM version.
I think for the price of almost $200 I would go with something else. (Like the spektrum DSM)
I agree, if you're gonna spend the money anyway on a new radio, get the DSM.
I disagree...

Not sure if you plan to race or not....for that matter even be around a lot of other R/Cs.

But most of the people I have seen running the Spektrum have returned them due to poor performance and/or glitching. In theory these new Spektrums are awesome and would solve all frequency conflicts.
I'm kind of struggling with this decision because I don't have enough to buy new receivers for all my vehicles and I don't want to have to swap receivers. I may just stick with what I have till tax time unless I run across a really good buy.
Most if not all the spektrum issues have been delt with. It was the first batchs that had problems. More than half the people that race offroad around here have spektrum with no probs.
If you have an MX3 that is still a great radio. It has just about all the same internals as the high end M8.

I used an MX3 for a year with zero problems and two sets of crystals.
+1

keep what you have if it works fine and has the features you want/need. I still use my trusty Futaba FM radio with crystals. It has all the features I need so there is no need to change. I usually get my receivers used around 25-30$ and new they are about $50.
As Tex said the people that I know that have Spektrums have had no problems, including myself. If you plan on racing this is the easiest way to go.
