thinking about heading out there, and checking it out.
I'm thinking I would like to head out there this spring or summer, when it gets warmer out.

Been a long time since I bashed.

Oh really? Is it another small, indoor electric only track?

Supposedly the Hobby Town in Lake in the Hill is going to have an outdoor track that will allow people to run 1/8th nitro.

Right now its 1/10th scale and smaller, electric only. Really wish Traxxas would reclassify its SC, Revo, and Emaxx trucks. They are hardly 1/10th scale anymore.
i'm gonna out tomorrow to berwyn check it out, been a while since i been there.
Where is it again? (besides berwyn....)
white eagle woods north, like 41st or 40th 1 block west of harlem, theres a chevy dealership on the corner where you have turn west at.
What time you showing up?
most likely around 10am

Hey Joe, did you see if the bmx kids finished rebuilding the jumps? I need to head out there one weekend. But it looks like we have a lot of Saturday work coming up.

Everything was grand.

Right up until I had to clean up the Goose Shit that coated the chassis and inside of the wheels. :ugh:

tell me about it, i think i had dear crap on mine after it was in the truck on the ride home it started to get ripe, probly needed to warm up to get the stench going,LOL
Just signed up here, been on the site a few times before, but either way. I live 5 minutes from the woods, and while out walking my dogs I found a spot that is just 3-5 minutes away that has a whole bmx track set up... Not the one that is right behind the usual bash area, but a little closer to the bowling alley.

Any chance you can snap some pics of it?

Or is it on Google Earth? *searching now*

*EDIT* Doesn't show up on Google Earth. But the tree's could be blocking the view.

Do you mean in that little strip between 47th and Joliet road, on the west side of the river? Could someone clarify if there is indeed something there?
eats side of the river, white eagle woods or something,
any one doing any bashing soon? seems like the weather will start to break for less wet conditions

i've been hitting up the 1:1 car stuff and the Streamwood track with my Hyper 10TT and Mini 8ight.

Smoked the rear diff in the Jammin Truggy. My fault really. When I changed the fluid in the rear diff I somehow forgot to put the gasket back on. The clearance change was enough to wear out the spider gears fast. wore about 1/16th of an inch off the internal crown gears. Rolleyes

The Hyper 10TT is powered by 2, 3, and 4S with a 3800kv MMP setup. Darned fast! 2S is really tame though. 3S is fun for the track, almost too fast. But in bashing 3S would be boring. 4S is where its at in an open field. But on 4S I need to be careful, after a 5 minute run and temp check the MOTOR wires were warm. The ESC and Motor were about 125*, but the 3 motor wires were actually warm to the touch. I stepped down from a 16 to a 14t pinion, but haven't retested on 4S.
Visiting Chicago this weekend. Need a place to bash. Dirt lot or something. We are in Lombard, west Chicago.

Thanks
anyone up for berwyn today?

Towing my TransAm up to my dads house to tear into the engine. I blew it up. Sad Oh well, I was expecting it at some point.

I'd be in otherwise.
Hey guys. I'm in Brookfield and got a new little basher. Has anyone confirmed the BMX jumps are somewhere over there still? I wanted to go look for them today but not sure where to look exactly.
The jumps at berwyn used to be in the woods area. Last I heard they were torn down, but that was years ago. Maybe they've been rebuilt?

Maybe someone who's been there more recently can confirm if they are there or not.
