A 2004 Yamaha YZ125. Big Grin

It needs a bar (bent from a crash but the only damage) and it needs the carb pulled and cleaned. (I had my buddy who's been racing for 10+ years check it out.) It has an aftermarket pipe, wheels, reeds, top crown, a new top end, new chain, and new sprocket.

The guy was asking $1200 which I thought was too good to be true.... I took it home for $1,000.

So.... Anyone have a spare bar for a moto bike?? I know there are (or were) a few riders on here. I believe it is standard/non oversize. It can be cheap. I don't need anything fancy.

Let me know what you've got!!

Also- Looking for a learner bike for my GF. Something like a 125/150 trail bike or similar. Cheap but fully functional.

Thanks,
Dan

Apparently I'm tired of half-assing things. Haha
I just rode it for the first time today. Hell, it was my first time riding any sort of motorcycle. So sweet. Can't wait to take it off road and rip it around. May be going to a track Tuesday.

I'm looking for something along the lines of a Yamaha TTR230 for the GF. I think even a 125 may be a little too much for her. She wants it to be ready to ride too.

Also, I need an oversize bar. I didn't think it was, but I was wrong.
i dont have any oversized. you can find them pretty cheap on ebay.
Plus, I had to order a needle and a couple jets for the carb. The last owner was an idiot.
Id like to take out a life insurance policy out on you if thats okay. JK.
Haha. I raced DH mountain bikes for quite a while. Hopefully some of that bike control transfers.
if you dontlike the smith grips. try protaper pillow tops by far most comfortable grips ive ever bought
Try not to kill yourself on that thing!
I had it out in the corn field and we set up a small course to run. I'm slowly getting the hang of hitting an entry point. More fun than should be legal. If the weather cooperates (and it doesn't look like it will) we are planning to hit Lincoln Trail in Casey Illinois on Sunday. (MX track and trails)
Dumped the bike and landed on my shoulder after whiskey throttling through some nasty braking bumps. Whoops. Good times though.
