Is this something that is just happening for those few days or did they add another indoor track ?

Might be . I was gonna start practicing my 1/10 electric in a week or so . Might be longer now .

It's something new on the indoor track. It's my understanding if it's popular we'll see more of it during the winter at various times.

If you are looking to practice electric off road up until November you should head over to Outback RC in Marengo. Bob, the owner has plenty of practice time available, and has plenty of electric only racing going on all the way to November.

I was just checking out that track . Have to see , really don`t want to drive that far . Been driving to Rockford all summer and ready to have a short drive to LH .

Hehe. Joliet is Deff better than Rockford from Marseilles.

If they get a good turnout they'll draw a lot of guys from Monee RC Raceway! Man I wish I didn't sell off all my Dirt Oval stuff! But still have this Modified Body that Jerry(ObsessiveRC) did for me still wrapped up in the plastic!!!!

Isn't anyone from here interested in dirt oval? I hope it takes off there, i'd get back into it since it is closer! Hope Bernie makes it a high bank!

No , good for them if they get a good crowd for it , but don`t see it happening IMO .

If there was a separate track maybe but the indoor Nitro season is too huge to cut away from. It will make alot of people upset to lose X amount of weeks of practice

well since the oval track closed in bradley a few years back and the issue with monee, theres really no other place to go, so if the word gets out people will come to race..

What issue with Monee ?

You're not worried about dirt oval I thought so don't worry about it? That's why I said if LH can draw the monee or the guy's from bradley/kankakee tracks it would do good!

Well then if you are into dirt oval you should know what is goin on then right? Roy Moody passed away and they are tryin to keep Monee going, that's what he loved to do and was still racing there while being the owner too! Dirt oval has it's following if you didn't know, Roy will be missed! Happy now!

Sorry to hear . But I don`t keep track of tracks and owners I don`t go to . I don`t race 1/10, 1/8 oval . Just 1/4 . Like me saying you should know what`s going on at the 1/4 tracks in Rockford , Iowa , Indiana , and so on .

Then just tell me why you think dirt oval wont make it at LH then? They are putting a lot more effort into it than they ever did for the Rock Crawling course! I'd really like to see them put a good effort into building an indoor rock crawling course, make it portable so it won't be in the way for the big races, they can make the dirt oval work with off road too! They do race Slash on the dirt oval too! :wavey:

1/10 and 1/8 dirt oval has died in this area . I`ve seen a few tracks build ovals and didn`t even last a season . I never seen the rock crawling track but heard about it . I`d like to see an indoor rock crawling course as well . Used to race on a track that was setup for oval and off-road . Made the off-road very small , tight and sucked . But that only lasted one season .
