newguy told me about a place in woodfield mall called ridmakerz. since it is the kids birthday, we took a ride up there. he had a lot of fun. its like a build a bear with cars. you can even make them rc. if your looking for something to get a little boy for a gift. i recommend it.

My sister mentioned something about the place and a while back we had somebody bring a RC18 clone from there for a little work on the steering system...and the Associated parts actually fit it!
I just went on there and built one for the heck of it...Wow. 105 bux!
we let Dylan pick out a car (he wanted the flat bed truck) and a couple of things (light bar, rims, tow truck bed) and it was $40. and now we are letting the families know he is into building them so they can get him hop ups and things for future gifts.
Yea thats true. Hop ups and stuff for future gifts would bring him right into this hobby. I'm 31 and still ask for rc stuff for gifts lol
