Barnyard Rc Raceway - NEW INDOOR RC TRACK - ELGIN, IL - Page 11 - R/C Tech Forums

To follow what is currently happening at Barnyard you should now follow this thread on rctech:

The Elgin facility isn't and probably won't be posting here in chitown so use rctech.

Thanks Kenji, I'll read up on that this weekend:wavey:
So this is a oval dirt track... why not make it like a normal offroad track with turns and more turns and jumps and...etc looks nice tho but to compete with LHR you really need to make the offroad a real offroad track.
well maby if you jerks at lh would give others drivers a chance to race. and not take them out. just because there not as good. and maby treat people all the same. not what they run or have. and just stop thinking that its your track. and that no one else can race there. thats why i dont go there anymore. because of all the PRICKS THAT HAVE THE BIG BUCK ITEMS AND HAVE TO RUN OVER THE OTHER DRIVERS WHEN THERE IN YOUR WAY. WAHT A BUNCH OF PRICKS ALL YOU ARE.
WOW...... how do you really feel
yes....please tell us. Rayk.. you may want to stay home and play barbies, racing may be a little too competitive for you.
Wow...

Such outbursts are always very productive in getting your point across. Tell ya what pack up your Ofna 9.5 with your .26 motor and all the blue and yellow tires you can find and come out and give LH another shot pal. Introduce yourself and everyone will know your the guy with the sahara desert in your vagina and then they will stay outta YOUR way when YOUR racing.
Sound good bro?
Leisure is a great place.....If you go, ask for help if you need it, and I'm sure the guys will be happy to help.

It pumps guys up when they help out slower drivers and help them get faster....

You don't need big buck items to go fast, you need practice.....at Leisure Hours
Smile
Ofna 9.5 with your .26 motor and all the blue and yellow tires.......
nice Roc.....
LMFAO maybe we could set up some garbage cans in between the jumps and you will feel more at home?
Lol!!!
There are quite a few pricks at leisure who seem to think there shit doesnt stink and theyre the best things ever but there are alot more helpful people who are willing to give you advice or to help out... except for czech hes just a all around ahole but he is helpful
Trash cans that was a good one there Mike

I must admit that even thou I dont race at LH I can be a really big prick if someone that has just started racing gives my new buggy a good wack. I know that for a 50/50 they are toys and others are a toy with a hopefull full time job at it but newcomers have to be aware of what they are doing and ask if they are unsure befor putting there buggy onto the track for the first time. Just my .2 cents
bring the grasshoppa' out mang'.......u be ok
wowow how did I miss this lol
you missed it because it's a thread about the Elgin track and some dimwit posted a rant about Joilet here and then a bunch of folks here replied to it.
they are just toy cars, cant we all just get along and run our grasshoppa's and hornets together hand in hand?
wow a lot of people have commented on this .poor rayk
Let me just say this so everyone doesnt believe what Ray says is true about the "fast guys" @ LH (not that it matters) When I first started, I didnt no jack shit about nitro(and I still dont!hahaha) or have jack but a basic rig. On my first outdoor race Mike C gave me tons of help the first day I met him(and even Werks fuel and PL tires) Drew(casketman) was my pitguy and did a great job, thanks man! Chad B has been there for me more than a few times in many ways(thanks yo). Sonny O(call me Sonny) and Jimbo are super cool dudes, that will give all the time in the world to answer questions/help! Anyways, my point is this, everyone is cool man, but if you have fear of saying whats up to them in the pitspace because you have crappy stuff, or you are flipping everywhere on the track like me LOL! how will you ever meet the fast guys and get help or make new friends? Just man the fuck up RayK, have fun, and meet new people, and dont be afraid to ask questions to the fast guys, those are the brains you want to pick. As for being ran over on track(LMFAO, sorry) well, pick up the pace, or pull to side and let faster drivers by, its that simple.
nicely said trevor , just go out and talk who cares what you have ill be out there for my first time and ill be asking a ton of questions
cool man, have fun and burn nitro! thats what its all about Wink
Ok! Since this thread has officially been hi-jacked and derailed here's my 2 cents.

I'm relatively new to R/C and dirt. Ran my little 1/16 scale buggy on a race sunday at LH. Entered the rookie class and had a blast for 2 qualifiers. Then, you guessed it, a 1/8 scale truggy went over a jump and squashed me like a bug. Funny as hell. If you don't want the occasional banging, build your own track or run in your backyard. Accidents happen and there will always be somebody faster with more skill and experience. Everybody spends hours rebuilding their cars/buggys, etc. That is part of the fun and the hobby. Everybody I've ever met at LeisureHours has been really helpful.

Back to the track thread. There has been a few new tracks built this year by local racers in general. It is really hard to make private tracks that are not backed by hobby stores, stay in business and profitable. Just try and build your own track and see the pitfalls. Nothing is for free in life.

Relax, play nice and make friends, not enemies.Smile

There's also the possibility of holding your line, not swerving and letting faster racers go around you too.
yessir just stick in your groove and let them fly on by....the second anyone swerves around is when trouble comes along.
...the Barn doors are open! We just finished up last week building an all off road course with big jumps, left and right turns. There is no longer an oval, it's just an off-road course. We're open this weekend on Friday, 5-10pm and Saturday 10am-10pm, so come check os out. Here's a link to a youtube video that was shot this last weekend. This is a 12 year old tearing up the track!
