I haven't really followed the hobby much in about 2 years I think. I know that the 8 and 8t were big and that the associated buggy was just coming out. I think that I will want to get back in with either a monster truck or a truggy again as they are both pretty versatile. I want to be able to bash and race but have the ability to move towards almost 90% racer (since it happened last time. HAha).

So.... what's new? What's still popular? Etc...
And yes. I posted this in off topic. I don't like how there is racers and basher sections only. This question pertains to both. Since there hasn't been an "off road" section in forever I figured I'd just post it wherever I wanted to.

Good day.
Platinum edition Revo looks sick....
Lots of guys got Mugen's MBX5T truggy.

Gabe bought a Platinum Revo and says it's a good machine.

Buggy is still the biggest class and 8ight (new version just annouced) Mugen, Kyosho still big favorites, but lots of good things being said about the $379 Hot Bodies D8 (if you can get one).
Rc8t

Don't listen to the company man!!!! LOL

Mike I need another body painted. Think I can get it before next season?
ouch
YGPM Mike
I would go truggy for what you want. Monster truck is hit or miss at the races anymore. There are always truggies out though. The RC8T looks sweet thats for sure. Havnt seen one run yet.
if u want to race dont bother with an MT
8th Scale buggy is probably the most popular thing. I used to like truggy, but I don't care for it, the trucks practically drive themselves.
You can always race your MT with the truggies. Of course you'll have your ass handed to you but I enjoy the challenge. Smile

Platinum Revo is a dialed race truck out of the box!
Steering servos setup adequate the way it is Gabe?
yeah but I went to one Futaba servo.....it didn't need it though.

Im sorry joe but those first 2 vids you posted are horrible. You try and bring some glory to the truck but yet you show vids from the z main lol. That was some horrible racing.
Best I could find on short notice, anybody got vids from LHR?
I think the SC8 is like 100$ more than that pos slayer. The whole slash slayer thing cant even handle a pot hole with out flipping over and kart wheeling

Those were everyday joes havin fun and racing... The vid mike posted was much more impressive but thats totally a pro driver man!

The rc8 is bad ass but nitro is so much more exspensive and labor intensive. Nitro is and always will be my true r/c love but with money flow, labor times and the increased price of everything (glow plugs are like 8 bucks now!) a little truck like the slash is just right..
Let me know how many garbage cans you can jump, as well as you fastest time racing the bases..
LOL SC8 ....Its cool, but its also like 700 on Amain. Why not just buy the RC8t for 515 Its probably more fun. Rolleyes
sc8 is RTR
