I've been following it pretty closley. For a long while, it was lookin like Tebo, Truhe, Drake, Cavalieri, or Maifield...But in the end, some Kid, (And I do mean Kid) from Japan. Atsushi Hara...Running a Hot Bodies turd is the new iFMAR champ. Truhe(losi) in second, and Renaud Savoya(mugen) comin on third...I felt so lame following but it's pretty interesting seeing new cars debut and new wide crazy tires debut, bigger rims etc. Thoughts? Nice to see Mugen and Losi in the top 3 but wtf Hot Bodies?.

There were 4 Hot Bodies cars in the final 12...for 370 dollars must not be a bad buggy I guess?
Funny how quickly people will jump in and call the HotBodies a "turd", even AFTER it wins the championship.
New FOM in buggy.

exactly what I was thinking. I've had a few hb trucks and they were pretty stout

Reminds me of the story line in the new Speed Racer movie.
lol I don't mean to be insulting just don't like their "stuff"

Coffee or Cup o Tea, it's still a beverage I suppose.
I think the quality and performance/feel of that "turd" would surprise you.

The D8 is a quality car that had a strong showing.
The HB team had 6 drivers there, 4 of them made it to the show.

How many guys did AE and losi have there?
There was 1 losi and 2 Ae's in the show.

Don't knock a car just because of it's companies start up in the rtr scene.

Dayton
And just so you know, Hara was the oldest guy on the stand at 28.
He looks 12 so blow me.
the hotbodies lightning buggys were piles of shit. The LSP was always a good truck and it paved the way for truggy. HB actually went out and got some real drivers to design their shit and now have a world class buggy, props to them for that. But up until now their stuff was junk except for the lsp

I did not post that to be an ass, I posted to inform those who/you who has no clue who Hara is.
Do a google search of his name.
The man has more National and World Championships then most if not all of the other pros combined.

And by your reply, are you 12? If not you need to act more your age.
I correct myself.

Masami has more titles then anyone, then Hara.

Yep, him and touring cars is tebo and mt's

And just because he doesn't race very race in the US, doesn't mean he isn't great. BTW, the third guy on the podium isn't USA either.

Sorry, but as much as we (and I) love America, other countries can produce top talent as well.

Hara consistently whipped ass in onroad races. The guy is precise.

and he looks like the hotdog champ Kobiashi.
The younger Kobiashi, not the current bulked-up dude. A few years ago Kobiashi was a stick figure...now he looks like a UFC fighter.
Has anyone seen this D8 on the track. Im thinking about getting it. I want to get back into racing again. I have a losi eight but it needs a lot of work. The D8 is going for like 375. thats a good deal.

Shouldn't the "props" really go to HPI Racing if you are talking about Hot Bodies?
I saw a D8 at LH on saturday morinig. It looked really nice. Very weel built. Looks like a steal at well under $400.
Does it really matter dude, the majority of people out there knows HB and HPI are the same company, and they dont drive a car that says HPI it says HB
