I'm glad to see the on-road section up and poppin'.

On a site like this (or any RC site) it's nice to have variations and I'm glad we have support in the on-road and off-road sections now.

Nexus, thanks for joining our crowd and I'm sure all the guys here including myself appreciate the on-road help you give us. You seem like a very knowledgeable racer and I'm glad your here.
I agree 100% with tex. Pass the word around to the other on-road guys. This site is a home to ALL chicago rc'ers
Yeah... I'm a big fan of on-road cars and MT. I have a Revo and an old on-road hpi nitro car. Can't wait to get a Drift Machine!

Ever gave any thought to an on-road bash??
I'd love to get together with you guys along with some cones and have a race. We should be able to find a parking lot clean enough.

We can stand on cars or something for a drivers stand Big Grin
You just want to show off your new car!Big Grin
The way I drive I need a car that has AI Big Grin
the idea of an on-road bash was tossed arownd before, but nothing ever happened

If all goes well we'll be having one of our skokie parking lot bashes. We setup a track, no transponders, have electricity, small driver's stand, washrooms. We sweep up so the asphalt is clean...it's pretty stable and level. As much so if not better than Tinley. About a 200 straight by about 60 wide.

this coming Sunday.

I use those days to tune various vehicles for upcoming races. there's usually 5-8 of us.

anyone interested?
Skokie is pretty far for me.

Where do you set up in Skokie?
Skokie spot sounds sweet. Do you guys just run on sunday? There is also a huge @$$ lot across from the Devry jumps.

Yes currently it's Sundays.

We run when my schedule allows it. My oldest boy Cooper is currently into his footbal season. He generally plays on Saturdays thru November.

If anyone is interested email me at:

...and I'll confirm with you later Friday evening with the exact start time and give you the address. Generally it's 1pm until about 7:30pm.
are there any hot spots near elgin for onroads?
can you run nitro?
Outdoors in summer until (I think) about late September, then they move inside.
