The truck body got pretty beat up last week and isn't really race worthy anymore, so I headed off the the LHS for a new body and some paint.

Simple design done with rattle can's. Metallic Red up front and metallic black out back. Smile

looks good
Nice, so far I've never done more than one color Big Grin
Looks good.
Looks good greek
Now that makes your truck look racey!
Thanks for the compliments guys!
Tune, what's the reasoning behind cutting the sides off of the bumper?
All the racers do it....lol

it's simply not needed IMO
I'm not a photographer but you guys know how much nicer your pics would be if you didn't have all the clutter in the background.......Like drop it on the garage floor or even better in the grass...

All the clutter takes away from the main object.....the RC
Cutting the rear bumper helps keep the exhaust from building up around the body and body posts.
SO the back bumper gets cut away and the body shell gets cut (if it's not an open back design, like the CrowdPlezr). So why cut the front bumper?

I extended the rubber exhaust tip on our Revo with 3/8" vinyl tubing so it hangs just below the outside of the body. I'd post a picture but Tex would say nasty things about it (jk,Tex).
Hey I said something good too.....lol
I know you did. I was thinking the same thing about clutter in the pictures. But it's fun to see what else people do in their homes. Like paintball, softair guns, computers, Sprite cans etc.. And have you noticed how many RC pictures are taken on wither a kitchen table or countertop? My wife would kick my butt if I even set one of the rc's in the kitchen, let alone on the table or counter!!!

Lets try and guess some of the objects in the pictures...
I think I see a Ronald Mcdonald plate a Mr. Pibb can, and is that some kind of shaving cream? Big Grin

Nice job by the way, the best Ive done on my own was a two tone also Smile
No shaving cream, lol. It's an air can Smile.

dave, on the stock body I had both the front and rear bumpers cut off. For starters it makes puting the body on easier and faster since you don't have to line up the dumb notchs for it to fit right. Also, for the rear is helps keep exhaust off the body as snakebite mentioned and for the front it allows more air inside for cooling purposes Smile.
Ooh, almost forgot.

Clutter IS fun in rc pictures. There is always someone who points random stuff out that's in the background.
Cluttered pictures are like a picture puzzle book, like Where's Waldo, or I Spy books! You guys with kids know what I'm talking about.
Hey, where is the wing the body came with? Do racers not use it?
I won't be using it. I plan on putting a buggy wing on instead. The one that came with the body looks kinda flimsy IMO. The way I drive, that thing would just break off after 20 minutes.
No, I think it's hair mousse! Oh lala Sasson... LOL!!

Tune, I just clicked a couple pix of how the extended tube on the exhaust helps keep the revo rear cleaner.
