not a bad lil ride for a 1st car man. Congrats.
props on the Honda my man. Treat it nice and it will tick forever. Don't be lazy with oil changes. Smile thats one mistake I wish I wouldnt have made when I was driving at first.
Looks good.

Keep your cock outta the exhaust pipe.....
is that folgers i see on there?
Looks like hills bros. I heard they give you 1/2 more hp.

Nice ride ponch.
Thanks guys. Smile
Fix the rust before the whole car becomes reddish-brown.
Things louuuud as hell. A little on the ricy side tho...
yeah Hondas do have a tendency to rust in the fenders
especially around here.
My 1987 Accord was 12 years old and didn't have a single rust spot on it when I sold it.
Ponch,

With the big old box in your truck..........

Where do the RC's go????

Backseat I suppose.
I hate the thumper bass cars. The other day at a light all I hear is Boomp, boomp, boomp, and I look over and the kid next to me is driving a giant speaker!
Well I guess it's subjective. I see alot with, and alot without. I guess it's care and wax. but it was a common thing with the preludes my grandparents had.

Eh, so long as he doesn't blast all of the rust off the car when the bass hits he might be okRolleyes
Dave he will be fine getting rc stuff in there. I saw that same car the other day, had 15 mexicans in it...it can be done lol
OH MY GOD.... LLLLLL MMMMM AAAAAA OOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Czech for Prez !
I will never understand the need to go halfway on these compacts. If you are going to build it, build it. Turbo kits are all over for those cars, and cheap too. Do a header and real cat-back, don't bother with the fart can they flow like crap even though they are straight through. Nor do I understand the 2.25" in but 4" out on half the cat-back systems, there is no performance to be gained from it.
Can't really turbo those engines without changing pistons IMO. You can but you'll be running like no boost to keep it reliable lol.

Should still be able to run about 5psi reliably. That would be about 215 crank hp. 55hp gain isn't much to sneeze at. With water/meth injection should be possible to run a bit more, or an intercooler to drop the temps. 250hp wouldn't be far off.

You'd be surprised at how much boost you can run on a stock bottom end in most cars, as long as its tuned well within the safe limits. 5psi is quite a gain.

Even though i do agree with some of the statements in your post, i want you too know you come off like a total douche for the part of your post that ive quoted... How about the fact that most are owned by teenagers who cant afford the true speed hop ups so they settle for things that give them the look and sound of performance. Im in NO WAY a fan of rice, but C'mon due we all dont have thousands to dump into a late 80's auto. Just kinda smug man... The kid just got his 1st car and ya jump his shit..... Im sure at 18 years old you had a built and stroked muscle car right?
yeah true. I think if I wanted to build a turbo-charged car I would go for some crazy durability. lol Im all about going fast, but I'm also about something lasting me 150k or more miles.

I'm not saying he picked the wrong car and that he should have gotten muscle. I didn't say anything like that. As for my first car?

No, had a 93' Escort I picked up cheap and drove till I retired it. All the while savings for what i wanted. It was cheap, reliable, good fuel economy, and the only part I ever replaced on it was the radiator after it sprung a leak. I still have that car, its served me well for over 10 years. Even now its still around as a loaner for friends, family or myself if I need it. Most likely will be donating it to charity as I don't really need 3 cars anymore and the body is rusting out. But I would still drive it to California if I needed to get there. Though if gas goes up I may keep it as it gets about 32mpg around town. I haven't modded it, though I have drag raced it. 19.1@ 71mph, 88hp stock, still stock now with over 160k on the clock.

Now I drive a 99' Kia Sephia 4dr that i picked up. Gets good gas milage, roomy enough for long trips, nice A/C, good heat, cheap to maintain cheap to drive, cheaper to insure.

The TransAm is a toy, if I break something I'm not out of a ride, and it'll still be there when rebuild as i want it. I wanted a GTA and waited 5 years to get it while I did other things. WhenI bought it it had no engine, no transmission, the wiring harness was a mess.... I bought it as a project to rebuild.

The autozoo bullet/fart can mufflers don't increase horsepower, just noise. The major restriction in the exhaust system is the piping aft of the cat itself. All it does is make noise with no real increase in power. A true cat-back would give a boost in power and fuel economy. One step further is a header and high flow cat. Add a cold air intake and you have a car that sounds only slightly louder than stock but has a significant gain in the seat of the pants. And no, I can't stand hearing a crappy TBI V8 with a loud ass flowmaster either or straight exhaust, no point in it. Exhaust gas cools the further it gets from the exhaust port, as it cools it loses volume and becomes denser so a smaller pipe is needed to keep the velocity up, using a larger tip just makes it louder.

A fart can on the back is as much cosmetic as anything else, wasted money where performance is concerned.
i understand how it works... im just sayin thats what the kid wants... So what.
I think we can settle this by saying, ponch is a kid, Ponch got a nice car that's good on gas. Ponch is happy Big Grin
