Got a Losi Grappler body (SCORESVILLE!) Not sure on paint yet, thinking blue/silver/white. tbd.

Took some time to get all the links off lol. But I deano'd them with Red Devil Lye and they were ok looking... But I wanted something better. So I popped them in the drill chuck and spun them in towel of aluminum/mag polish... NOW they're shiny as sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttt! Very happy.
The ones on the bottom of the pic are done, the ones higher up were left so you can kinda see the difference.
I thought you were gonna say you cleaned your bench off. What a mess lol.
It just looks messy... It's relatively organized chaos...

Get a small rubbermaid, put the parts you want to de ano in there, fill with cold water till the parts are covered, then shake this stuff all over it and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. The water will turn murky colored and the ano will be gone! Watch out the fumes are pretty nasty.
I got it at either walmart or ace hardware, i don't remember for sure though, it was a while ago.
ez off oven clean will take the color off also.
does this mean you are going back to a full body crawler? I should pick up 1 of those grappler bodies and build a tuber around it.
AND....ez-off does a great job cleaning ovens and baking sheets!!!

Just takes your fingerprints off the ends of your fingers if you aren't careful with it. Also removes chrome from plastic parts.
I hate ez off and will NEVER use it again. Even the yellow can.

This stuff, it just eats the ano off, might leave a slight black coat on it. Run it under water and the black is gone, and it leaves the metal perfectly shiny. I remember I always had to take some sandpaper to whatever I ezoff'd because it either would mess up the metal or it wouldn't take off everything.

Try the Lye. Awesome.
sweet, thanks!

Will it strip paint off polystryrene plastic too?
I had painted my beadlock rings before on one side and wanted to get the anodizing off. I put them in my rubbermaid with the lye and water, and it took the green off but didn't touch the paint. So I would have to guess no.
bet u could make some killer meth that way too!
