I know there's a ton of off road people here but I thought I would mention the hot new on road racing class that is being raced.

Trans-Am:

http://usvintagetransam.com/

The Track, in Winthrop Harbor, has a bunch of people now racing it. the Track is also hosting the first annual national race for Trans-Am in April.

Underground RC is also currently racing it too.

Trackside in Brookfield WI also races it.

Strictly RC will be running it this Spring/Summer for their outdoor season.

Jtec's The Loft, in Danville, is also starting the class up.

One of the reasons the class is becoming popular is the lower cost. You can use any 4WD sedan chassis, You use specific bodies, a stock motor, 4 cell battery packs and specific wheels and tires. (check the website above for the rules). This combo of gear creates a car that is fun to drive and doesn't wearout easily or need tons of maintenance to be competitive.

If you ever wanted to try on road racing but didn't want to have to spend a ton of money this class might be for you.

If anyone is wanting to try a TA car out stop by Underground's Sunday races and you drive mine to check it out.
that looks like alot of fun
also what ytime does underground race on sundays?
Doors open at 10am racing starts at noon. Usually done by 4:30-5pm.

another cool thing about Trans Am is the races are 8 minutes.
