What's YOUR personal status? This is just you answering for yourself, no supposing about the other guy, thanks!
Found something else and more my speed. Plus, I can take the family along =)
Still spending what I can afford to on the stuff, just can't afford as much so my purchases have to really count, plus I've been bitten by the 1/32 slot car bug HARD now too.
Joe,

I just got the email on the slot car racing at HT. Great idea to get folks in the shops!

You should have guys demo'ing RC nitros in the parking lot....you'd prolly seel loads of them, too!
Yea I keep getting those e-mails too, I'm working down there over the next couple sundays so I may have to bring a couple with me.
what they need to do is have someone driving a crawler on the course thats right next to the slot car track.... Bet you could sell as many Axials as they could get in stock (oh wait...they already do)
interesting....
Im active because its the only thing that is exciting to me. Most other things in life are actually, pretty boring to me. Lol
go pick up a jeep or truck and start building it up and go offroading man. Its a blast.
need one that says, Still on forums but it's too damn cold outside to do anything!
lol, I dont make enough money to build a vehicle. It'd be a jeep, but I'd go small-block. Lol...dont have the cash bro, RC's cost 1/8th real offroad so its good enough for me. D:
suprisingly I put about the same amount of money into my truck as i did with all my revo and crt cost and its capable offroad. Figure about 2 grand for driveline, 2 grand for suspension, and a grand for tires. If you really wanna go all out you can get new bumpers, winches, cages, depending on what you wanna do. The possibilities are endless.
Yeah I know. It's just when you break a real car it doesnt cost 6 bucks to fix. Lol
I'm preparing to get out I think, I just joined a band and I'm needing a new amp for my bass, selling all my r/c stuff will only cover about 1/2 of the amp costs.
I've been selling my stuff off. I'm looking to buy a house so I have to kill off a couple hobbies. Only will be workin on the Camaro and music. With 6 guitars, 2 basses, 4 amps, harmonicas, a couple Synths, and a recording equipment gets spendy.
I think, in reality, at some point later in our lives, we'll be in and out of it again. It never goes away, I sold/put away stuff...only to visit the track...dug it back out, cleaned it up and rebuilt. Can't stop...too fun.
I'm as active as ever. I still race/bash and visit forums daily (although I really haven't been on here in a few weeks)
I'm starting to get back into it after a good long break, but to me I dont think that it's really slowing down becuase of lack of interest but mostly lack of funds with the way the economy is the money just isn't there for the hobby. Considering when you have to fill up you 14 gallon tank in the car and that cost you 50 to 60 bucks it puts a hurting on you wallet.
I havent started any of my nitro's in over a year....
Feb 07' was the last time I ran my ST-R at Leisure Hours.
I bought a 07' Wrangler Rubicon in March of last year, and that is were all my money and time has been going.
Its fun to go offroading with friends and I can take the family too. Smile
Im in a couple clubs and we have get togethers, show n shines and wheeling trips all the time.....and lots of forums to talk on Big Grin

Im working on selling 1/2 of all my R/C gear, Im only going to keep the ST-R and the minimum gear needed to race it, thats it.
I probably would have gotten it out over the winter and raced it, if the batteries would hold a charge, I think they're shot
from sitting dead for so long Sad
Im out for now but I'll be back at it as soon as all the dust settles from moving and getting a new job.

The track down here kicks ass.....

I've been into RC since I was 14 and i'm now 35! It's slowed down for me at times but the past 13 years has been steady into the rc scene for me, and now getting my kids into them also, so I don't see it slowing down anytime soon for me! :joy:
I believe our man tex has moved back to the state from which he takes his nickname. Best of luck to you playa!
